What do Hellfire, Juggernaut, Nirvana, Strikeforce, Warlord, Sinister 6, or Dark Horse have in common? Well, they're mostly beastly 6x6 creations done by a company named Apocalypse Manufacturing.
The name surely inspires a bit of fear, but most likely, they're just trying to convey the impression that their custom builds can withstand just about anything, including the end of time. It's not entirely accurate, as these 6x6 behemoths break down from time to time – but not before suffering tremendous abuse from Hollywood movie sets or the latest YouTuber searching for glory and his five minutes of Internet fame.
Long story short, Apocalypse – located in Pompano Beach, Florida, where it also manufactures these crazy rigs but with showrooms in Ford Lauderdale and Palm Beach – has grown from a little custom manufacturer of Jeep Gladiator conversions to 6x6 off-road vehicles to a fully-fledged company that also works on the Ram 1500 TRX, Ford Bronco, Rivian R1T, GMC Hummer EV, and other models on a daily basis.
They are also into fully bespoke rigs, of course, which is why sometimes you can see on their social media channels things like a mega-lifted no-doors GMC Hummer EV Strikeforce 3X, a Fire Rescue Jeep Gladiator, a one-of-one nine-inch-lifted Land Rover Defender on 37s, or an Apocalypse HellFire equipped with seven seats and the Executive Package. But we're not here to talk about all that.
Instead, since the Overland Expo West has already kicked off the season on the West Coast, Apocalypse is making sure that the East Coast adventurers won't feel sorry for being too far away because they can easily get there in a few days' time with help from the company's Apocalypse Overlander 6x6. It's one of their Jeep Gladiator-based 6x6 creations (either the Sinister 6 or a HellFire) that was modified for "sleeping under the stars" and taken to the next level.
More precisely, according to the description, the slanted rear houses a built-in TV, a functional shower complete with its hose, a generator, a roof rack with awning, an air mattress, a propane-fueled grill, water canisters, AC ventilation for the camper, ladder, weather-proof interior, and several additional goodies. Obviously, it might be great for hunting and fishing expeditions, and it even comes with a cool livery in camouflage colors, plus desert-tan wheels shod in massive all-terrain tires.
Unfortunately, the company doesn't list the rig's price as they want potential customers (like Shaquille O'Neal) to DM for additional inquiries and details. However, don't expect it to be cheap. For example, the second post is Apocalypse HellFire 6x6 dressed in a custom shade of neon green called Miami Nightlife – and it certainly looks the part for some partying after you pony up no less than $150k.
