Available for auction is a collection of 10 vintage stopwatch timers used for rallies and racing, dating from the 1950’s to the 1990’s. The stopwatches and timers are mounted on metal dash plates, engraved with the names of famous racetracks, and are placed on walnut display plaques. The seller states the watches can be removed and placed on a car’s dashboard and all the watches are fully functional and are in excellent cosmetic condition with minor wear from age and use. The collection includes:
Thalco (2): Very old pieces dating to the late 50’s-60’s. They are identical in function with the one on the left being slightly larger. They are both two pusher 1/10 second 15-minute split timers. The faces have an outer 30 second dial in black and a red 60 second dial in red.
Gallet: A very rare and old watch with a slide instead of a second pusher. The watch dates from the 1950’s to early 60’s. It is a true racing watch with the face having numerous functions to calculate lap times and speed. It is a 1/10 second 30minute timer.
Hanhart: An Amigo model it is a 3 pusher 1/10 second 15-minute split timer. The face has a ‘Roulette’ dial with alternating black 30 second and red 60 second dials.
Camero: A 3 pusher 1/10 second 15-minute split timer. The face has an outer black 30 second dial and a red 60 second inner dial.
Sportcraft: A 2 pusher 1/5 second 60-minute split timer. The watch has a blue face with white numbers and a white border in 1/5 seconds.
Apollo: A 2 pusher 1/10 second 15-minute timer. The face has a black 30-second outer dial and a red 60 second inner dial.
Chateau: A 2 pusher 1/10 second 15-minute split timer. The face has a ‘Roulette dial with alternating red and black numbers.
Chesterfield: A 2 pusher ‘Dolmy’ model it is a 1/10 second 15-minute timer. The face has a ‘Roulette dial with alternating red and black numbers and a matching register.
Zonex: A very old2 pusher 1/10 second 30-minute timer. The face is unique with a black outer 60 second dial and a red 100 second inner dial.
