Available for auction is an extremely rare and sought after 1968 Porsche 911L engine block. Presented is a set of case halves that could potentially be the original engine to your 1968 911L.
According to the seller, it was actively used in a 1967 Porsche 911S and performed flawlessly during its tenure. However, a fortunate chance arose to reunite the '67 911S with its matching numbers engine. To preserve the originality of the '67 911S, this set of case halves was carefully removed from the engine. It's essential to note that the engine was not disassembled due to any mechanical issues or noises; on the contrary, it remains in excellent condition.
This piece is in excellent overall condition and is ready to be used as the basis for your 2.0L 911 Engine of your dreams. Whether you're a dedicated restorer, a collector seeking that perfect touch of authenticity, or someone looking to revive the classic feel of a 1968 Porsche 911L, this engine is the perfect addition to your collection. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

We just had a very knowledgeable gentleman stop by and view the engine. We learned that this engine is one of the desirable last few aluminum engines built by Porsche before they switched to Magnesium at engine number 328 0 631 (ours is 3280049). We also were able to split the case and confirm everything inside appears to be in good condition. Good luck everyone!

@Slim_Chance Hi there, thank you for your interest in our 911 Engine. I took a look at the case halves for additional stampings, and I am attaching what I found below.

1. A Pair of 67 Date Stamps on each case half
2. A "901/14" stamp. which is the type (which corresponds to our engine chart in the last photo in the listing), and below that, a "9660" stamp, internal sequence number.
Let me know if I missed something.
Thanks and good luck every one!
