Available for auction a “The Lamborghini Miura Jota Edition” book. This book was limited to only 75 copies. The seller states this copy is new in the unopened shipping box, exactly as received from Kidston Ltd providing a rare opportunity to purchase a new untouched copy of this book.
"There was only ever one Jota, Bob Wallace’s legendary ‘toy’, the ultimate Miura. Available for immediate delivery, the Jota Special Edition of the Kidston Lamborghini Miura Book is no less exciting. Limited to just 75 examples – of which only one copy will be available per individual – the Jota Edition is hand bound in black leather with a contrasting panel of metallic burgundy hide, a tribute to the car after which this luxury, last-ever volume of the best-selling Kidston Miura book is named. The title is picked out in silver embossed blocking. The Jota edition contains several pages of new content, including an introduction by Simon Kidston, who recalls the time he travelled to the Middle East on a mission to find the Shah of Iran’s SVJ, some six months later selling it at auction to Hollywood actor and ‘Academy Award winner’ Nicolas Cage. Gian Paolo Dallara, the last surviving member of the trio who created the Miura, has written a foreword, in which he states he is proud of what he and the rest of the team achieved, summing up that: “The Miura fulfilled what we set out to do, which was to propose a new type of gran turismo car that would set the standard for vehicles of that type.”
The Jota Edition is presented in an artfully designed Solander clamshell box measuring 43.5cm X 39.5cm X 9.5cm, hand-crafted and covered with silver, museum-quality buckram, itself embossed with the title of the book and designer Piero Stroppa’s legendary Miura logo. The book is cossetted in its case in burgundy Suedel, with matching ribbon by which to lift it out. The end papers are now brilliant Miura orange, and a new ‘X Ray’ overhead illustration printed on acetate welcomes readers to the wealth of information contained within. A new Miura side- profile card bookmark with orange ribbon is unique to the Jota Edition.
Placed on top of the book in the presentation box is a black leather portfolio with contrasting panno beige panel of actual Miura seating material. The portfolio contains the following:
- Reproduction engineering drawings of the Miura
- Two 1960s cartoons by Russell Brockbank that poke gentle fun at the other-worldly car from Italy
- A period colour press photograph l Special in rodaggio (‘running in’) Kidston windscreen sticker
Every Jota Special Edition carries a ‘chassis plate’ with its production number and Simon Kidston’s signature. Don’t miss your opportunity to own this highly collectible, simply beautifully presented edition of the ultimate Lamborghini reference book. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

@White Edit - I thought I saw a reference to 59, not 49. Again just a guess as to the number.
@SimonSays I do not k ow which number it is. As the parcel has never been opened. I thought I saw a reference to a number 49 somewhere in the paperwork but that is pure speculation on my part. As I purchased the book not long before they sold out I assume it is a higher numbered copy.
Which number of the 75 is this?
