Available for auction is a Tag Heuer Formula One model 385.513/1 watch. In the late 1980s, Tag Heuer introduced a collection of colorful watches. This one was finished in black and includes its original case and instructions.
The watch is in excellent condition with a new battery installed in September 2023. The watch case depicts Aryton Senna’s McLaren MP4/5. Included with the sale is an original framed magazine advertisement of the same watch and car, and a 1/43 model of the same race car, which had Tag Heuer as a sponsor, placed on the front nose of the car.

FYI - the crystal is new on this watch. There was a small scratch so I went ahead and had it replaced with a new one.
I love that! Phoenix would have been a really interesting street race to watch…what a contrast to today and all of the safety measures and setup today. Las Vegas will be interesting to watch soon. Hopefully nothing like the old Vegas Grand Prix where they were basically just in a parking lot with concrete barriers, haha.
Just to say my dad had this same watch—- got it around the time he went to his only live GP (in Phoenix)… and I’m holding the car that came with it in my lap now, 43 years later. It IS a lovely watch…
Hi All - I realized that the bracelet was cut (these bracelets were originally intended to be cut to size of the individuals wrist), so I’ve installed one that has not been cut and is in better condition overall. Photos coming.
