Available for auction is a handmade Steve McQueen Le Mans tribute surfboard. The surfboard is constructed of California redwood and fiberglass and measures approximately 9’6” in length, 30” in width, and 4 ¼” thick. The surfboard was professionally painted in Gulf Livery and features Steve McQueen’s famous number twenty from his Le Mans winning Porsche 917. The seller notes the Gulf logos, number twenty, and Le Mans text are vinyl stickers that have been clear coated.
The seller states more than one hundred hours of labor went into building, painting, and finishing the surfboard. The board is constructed of California redwood, fiberglass, and balsa wood. The board features a LiftSup retractable handle and a main and thruster fin boxes/leash plug. The surfboard is ready to catch waves or become the centerpiece of your garage or collection. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees.

Congratulations to Kenwood1113.
Well done.
Sold for $2,500
I have crated and shipped these before so no worries there. Plywood crate with expanded foam packing material. It’s about $150 in materials for the crate and shipping is up to you but I will help in anyway I can to get it on a truck to you.
The reserve has been met so happy bidding everyone.
Cheers
Just a quick note heading into the final hours of this auction. The materials and paint work were over $2,000 for this board and the other boards that I built for clients were $6,500 to $9,500 so you can rest assured that the value of this piece is there.
Thanks for bidding.
Cheers

@Scalemotorsport Thanks for the question, I built this piece in my custom furniture and wood paddleboard shop. I built others for clients, typically in the styles of vintage wooden boats such as Rivas and Christcrafts but this was the first one I did in a Sportcar livery, I’m a huge fan of Steve McQueen.
