Available for auction is a bronze-cast metal statue of the Spirit of Ecstasy. The statue is mounted on a black marble plinth. This Spirit of Ecstasy statue measures approximately 15” tall and 8” wide and weighs 10 pounds. The seller states the statue was formerly on display at a Rolls-Royce dealership.
In response to the growing popularity of radiator mascots, Rolls-Royce commissioned English sculptor and illustrator Charles Robinson Sykes to create an emblem to universally adorn the marque’s cars. In 1911, Sykes presented the company with his Spirit of Speed sculpture, which was renamed the Spirit of Ecstasy before being deemed the official mascot of Rolls-Royce.
The statue portrays a forward-leaning woman in billowing robes with her arms stretched behind her in the manner of wings. A Charles Sykes signature appears on the base of the statue, which is mounted on a polished black marble plinth. Whether you are a Rolls-Royce enthusiast, an avid collector of automotive memorabilia, or someone who appreciates the beauty of fine craftsmanship, this Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy statue will undoubtedly make a stunning addition to any collection. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and transactional fees.

@SBerastequi Hi,
I am not certain of its exact age. I can tell you it has been in my grandfathers collection for over 10 years and that he polished it with wax every 2 years to maintain the bronze's finish. Hope that helps and thanks for your interest!
Any documentation or evidence of the age of the statue? Thanks
