    @spencerjo327 Thank you so much for the information, I have always wanted to try SOUL exhaust but I'm kinda afraid of droning...

    The exhaust was purchased in November of 2021 (corresponded with Paul Aguirre from SOUL). It was delivered in January and installed on Jan 14th of 2022. It was uninstalled on May 4th of 2023. The mileage in the interim period from the service receipts is about ~4k miles.

    When was this exhaust purchased and how long/many miles has it been on the car?

    @ricm great questions.
    Yes, it will pass CA smog. The exhaust is mounted after the cats. So long as those are stock, you should have no problem.
    Yes, my experience was that a combinations of RPM and throttle position would open the valves even if I had PSE off (e.g. PSE light is off, valves are closed). From my research, this is working as intended. I believe the thinking is that, if a driver is winding it out past 3800 and firm on the throttle, they are looking for more power and sound. You can actually test this in any 991.1 (it's not as obvious without an aftermarket exhaust but I think you can still hear it). If you maintain only gentle throttle, you can wind it out all the way to 5, 6, or even 7k without valves opening. However, the second you add a bit more throttle, you can hear them flip open. Once you get off the gas, they are closed again and the quieter behavior resumes. It's very easy to drive anywhere without them ever opening if you're not trying to go fast. If you're passing on a short straight or blasting an on ramp for fun, you'll hear them open. They'll close again once laughing time is over (back to normal throttle).
    Soul has a pretty good description and some graphics on their website. I'd recommend checking these out if you haven't already.

    Will this pass Calif smog? And are you saying that the ECU will/may automatically open the PSE valves even when closed?

    Note that for anyone without PSE, you can buy parts from SOUL to retrofit a valve-control button in the cabin or a valve-control remote. Check out Soul's website for more info.

    Hi folks, thanks for visiting my auction. I'm uploading some additional photos and I'm happy to answer any questions. The exhaust is packed up in my garage and I can unwrap and zoom-in on anything specific as needed. The photo above shows the car on which it had been mounted, a 2013 911 C2S with factory PSE. The SOUL exhaust performed flawlessly, just a *touch* too loud for my sensibilities when off-track. The installation is clean bolt-on, no modifications required, and works with factory PSE controls. It's very quiet with the valves closed until about 3800 RPM, at which point, the ECU may open the valves depending on throttle position. It's absolutely hilarious fun but be warned, it will be tough to go fast, even briefly, without being noticed :)
