An homage to the legendary Shelby Cobra, this replica was assembled by the specialists at Shell Valley Classic Wheels, and it has been dedicated over 900 hours to its construction. Finished in metallic blue with orange accents over black upholstery, this example is powered by a 6.2-liter LS3 engine paired with a Magnus supercharger. The equipment includes a 6-speed manual transmission, ZL1 clutch kit and flywheel, a Holley Standalone EFI system, a water/methanol injection kit, a Texas Speed camshaft kit, side-exit exhaust pipes, Wilwood brakes, and more. Driven approximately 2k miles since the build, this Cobra replica is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Ohio.

This Cobra replica’s Kevlar-reinforced body is finished in a metallic shade of blue, bisected by an orange racing stripe. Details include an aluminum hood with a functional scoop, fender vents, wind wings, polished bumperettes, and polished side-exit exhaust pipes. Chrome accents adorn the headlight and windshield surrounds, bullet-style mirrors, driver’s side roll hoop, and Le Mans-style fuel filler cap. It rides on custom multi-spoke wheels with three-eared faux knock-off center caps and orange-lettered Toyo Proxes tires in like-new condition.

The cockpit is appointed with black upholstery, including custom Alcantara fixed low-back bucket seats along with a matching dashboard and door panels. Accessories include a three-spoke steering wheel, Speedhut gauges, push-button ignition, and an electric emergency braking system.

Power is derived from a 6.2-liter LS3 crate engine equipped with a Magnuson supercharger, water-methanol injection kit, and Holley Standalone EFI system. The rear wheels are driven through a TR6060 6 speed manual transmission. Other performance features include a Texas Speed camshaft kit, a GM ZL1 clutch kit and flywheel, a fully adjustable four-bar rear suspension with poly bushings, and upgraded Wilwood brakes. The seller states that a specialized mechanic inspected the vehicle, and no outstanding maintenance items have been reported.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for viewing my auction! I have owned this AC Cobra for approximately a year now. It has been stored indoors and has never been out in any weather. I collect cars and have had several AC Cobras in my collection. This Cobra is far and away the highest quality-built Cobra I've ever seen. The builder was a retired Honda engineer and was absolutely fanatical about the build. It's in showroom condition. Over $150k invested in the build.”

    Too much to learn; too little time. I think someone is going to get a deal of a lifetime. Best of luck to you.

    @Artdeckco - No, I'm the 2nd owner of the vehicle. I bought it from the original builder.
    - There is no warranty on the vehicle
    - There is only 2,000 miles on the vehicle because I wanted to keep the mileage low.
    - Never been tracked.
    - Yes it will fit a 6ft 1 driver no problem. Seat slides forwards and backwards

    Just a few last-minute questions:

    Are you the original designer and purchaser? Is there any warranty remaining? Are the wheels forged?

    Why didn't you drive this more than 2000 miles?

    Have you ever put this on a track? Is there oversteer or understeer, or does it simply fade sideways evenly?

    Will a 6'1" driver fit comfortably?

    Have there been any accidents, repairs, or engine problems?

    That engine looks like a BEAST! 🏆

    @Artdeckco I don't think I've heard of a state where one isn't driven. I've even seen some in Alaska.

  • micah4a (seller) 3 months, 2 weeksago

    @Artdecko There are lots of AC Cobra kit cars cruising the streets of PA

  • micah4a (seller) 3 months, 2 weeksago

    @Artdeckco
    100 percent street legal in PA. Just would have to be inspected by an inspection station like any car normal in PA

  • Artdeckco (registered bidder) 3 months, 2 weeksago

    I am quite certain it is fun to drive, but where? Without bumpers, is this street legal in Pennsylvania?

  • micah4a (seller) 3 months, 2 weeksago

    @lambofam
    It has to be run on 93 octane or higher. The only reason I'm selling is to help fund a new garage project. I would keep the car in my collection if it wasn't for that! I can't express how fun this car is to drive, and own!

    Can you run this vehicle on 91 octane pump gas alone? Why are you selling?

  • micah4a (seller) 3 months, 2 weeksago

    @BadDog
    Weight of car is 2580lb

  • micah4a (seller) 3 months, 2 weeksago

    @BadDog
    Thank you!
    Car put down 678rwhp on the dyno. I have the sheet somewhere at my office. I'll try and find it today.
    0-60 mph I would have to estimate on because I've never had it timed. I'd say it has to be sub 3.0secs.
    The car was built to have C7 Corvette ZR-1 power/performance, but keep in mind it's a 1000lbs lighter than a ZR-1!
    It's an absolute monster, but has all the support mods, suspension, and braking to really push it if you wanted to. It's an ABSOLUTE BLAST TO DRIVE!!!
    The quality of this build is second to none! Good luck to everyone bidding!

    Curb weight, HP, Torque, 0-60 mph, etc?
    Thanks, & GLWTA !

    I have seen this car in person and the build quaity is second to none. From the flawless paint and bodywork to the exquisite chassis. The thought that went into using a push button start and electronic parking brake shows the builders eye for going for fun and functionality. The color combonation in person is spot on. Super car!!
