Available for auction is a Porsche + Baker stainless steel/ leather retro recliner chair. The seller states that this is one of only 35 stainless steel chairs made and was designed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche.
As for its history, the chair was previewed by Baker at the fall furniture show in High Point, NC, in October of 1984. This iconic armchair was formally introduced by Baker Furniture at the Chicago "NEOCON" exhibition in June 1985. The seller states that at the time, it held an original price of $4,927. In that period the company was developing the "Baker Executive Office '' division, and for several years the company made an important publicity oriented introduction at that annual show. The Porsche chairs shipped to customers in the spring of 1986.
The chair is in very good condition for a 40 year old classic chair. The leather is intact, but does however have staining and needs some restoring to bring it back to its original luster. 
The chair was offered in both the black powdercoat version, as well as a stainless steel frame option. The design was a limited edition of 100 units, and approximately 65 of these chairs were in the black painted treatment, with approximately another 35 in the stainless steel treatment. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

@Slowin_Fastout I do not have an idea on shipping costs, but, it likely varies by the shipping company you hire, how they pack it, and the time and distance for delivery. The listed dimensions found for the chair are: Height: 47 in (119.38 cm) Width: 27 in (68.58 cm) Depth: 40 in (101.6 cm) Fully Reclined: 70 in (177.8 cm)

Thanks for asking about the chair's structure. Chair is structurally sound as it was when originally delivered. Not wobbly or anything like that. Thank you so much for the feedback. When I visit the chair tomorrow, I’ll be sure to get you a photograph of the head cushion, which is causing a shadow in the photograph. As for staining, I’m a strait shooter and tried to make it clear that after almost 40 years this chair deserves some TLC. Otherwise, in my opinion, it’s friggin awesome!
