Available for auction is this illuminated neon Porsche sign. According to the seller, the sign measures in at over 4-feet tall, and was originally acquired by a collector in the Boston area who was building a large garage complex for his personal collection, but ultimately had to cease construction. It is believed to date to the late 1990’s. 
The sign features the Porsche shield mark, with real glass neon tubing bent to form the symbol. This sign is in excellent condition and displays beautifully. The back side of the sign is a clean looking piece of metal screwed and riveted into place. The face is free of chips, scratches, or even any marginal damage and the neon tubing is in excellent working condition. 
All of the sign components are present and working as design and the electrics feature a 3 pronged US 110v spec grounded plug, with a toggle switch, exiting out of the side of the sign. The wiring and plug are original. The sign lights up as intended when connected to power, as can be seen in the photographs. This sign would make a wonderful addition to any Porsche collector’s garage or warehouse. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

@artichoke -- weight is about ~30lbs. I believe the transformer is located behind the panel on the backside. Regarding mounting hardware, it has two eye bolts on the top side of the sign (please see pics) for mounting. There's no existing hardware on the backside of the sign if you were looking to mount it in a different way, but I doubt it would be particularly difficult to do if that were to be your preference.
