Available for auction is a Porsche MA177 4.0L flat-six engine, sourced from a 2019 991.2 GT3 RS and showing only 5,000 kilometers of use. This engine is being relisted on PCARMARKET due to incorrect information as well as images which has now been verified by the seller that the listing is correct. Offered by Speed Vegas, the world’s largest supercar driving experience, this engine (Code: DGGB MA177) is in excellent working condition as stated by the seller.
Initially acquired to replace a failed unit in a 2016 991.1 GT3 RS, it was later determined to be incompatible with the 991.1 platform, making it an ideal candidate for a direct replacement in a 991.2 GT3 RS or a high-performance restomod or engine swap project.
Please confirm fitment prior to bidding. The seller states the current photos, taken on July 8th, provide an accurate and up-to-date view of the engine’s clean and well-kept condition.
The seller states this engine is sold with no known issues and is ready for installation. The buyer is responsible for tariffs, duties, customs, shipping, shipping insurance, handling, transactional fees or any miscellaneous fees. PCARMARKET is not responsible for anything lost or damaged during shipping.

A leak down test result for each cylinder?
Shipping is not a Problem?
@PORCOR Our techs found that the 991.2 engine doesn’t sit right in the 991.1 chassis. The height and angle are off. It would need custom brackets or modifications to the chassis to make it fit, which we did not want to do.
@frog4life Thanks for the question. Actually, this engine has never been in one of our cars, so it has no track time at all. We don’t have any 991.2 in our fleet. We purchased the engine from a supplier who sources parts for us. It came directly from Germany.
What's the back story on this engine? Why was it removed, and from what car? I presume it was tracked, correct?
Bid in the amount of $10,000
What are the main problems in installing in 991.1 GT3?
That's better! GLWTA
