Up for auction is this original painting by Malcolm Fletcher depicting a Porsche 991 GT3 R in the famous Porsche Intelligent Performance livery. Homologated based on the 991 GT3 RS road car, the GT3 R was introduced as a customer race car designed to compete in Group GT3 and made its debut at the 43rd running of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 2015. The car depicted here wears the signature press release #911 "Porsche Intelligent Performance" livery, a theme chosen to represent Porsche's commitment to the future of the sports car. This framed work of art measures 30" x 40" and was created using acrylic paint on canvas. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.
Born to a family of artists and pilots, Malcolm Fletcher spent his early years moving around Europe where he was exposed to German cars and engineering. Malcolm attended college for graphic design and, over the years, came to restore European automobiles of his own. He would also go on to pursue a career in aviation where he served as an instructor, fire detection pilot, and bush pilot. Malcolm's background and passion clearly shines through his artwork, which is largely influenced by historic German cars and vintage aircraft. Malcolm explains that the Porsche story seems to follow a similar line to his own, "I couldn't find art I liked so I made my own".

Good morning everyone! We are now down to the last 5 hours of the auction and I couldn't be more excited! My paintings were done for me and I had no intention to sell but here we are. 2020 brought lots of changes that none of us could have foreseen but it means that one lucky bidder will win the chance to own this stellar interpretation of the truly awesome 991 derived 911GT3R.
