Up for auction is this original painting by automotive artist Stephen Selzler. This mixed-media painting depicts the venerable 1989 BF Goodrich-livery Porsche 962, sponsored by BF Goodrich and Miller Brewing Company, and was modeled after the unit piloted by master endurance racer Derek Bell, winning the 1989 Daytona 24 Hours. Measuring 36" x 48" with a depth of 2.5", this piece was created with acrylic, pastel, pen/ink, epoxy resin, and vinyl substrate over a stretched cotton canvas. Personally signed and cataloged by the artist, this original painting makes a beautiful addition to any automotive enthusiast's art collection.
Stephen Selzler is a fine artist/designer with a focus on automotive culture. Operating out of his studio in Dallas, TX, Selzler has spent the past decade as a practicing graphic designer and brand strategist, serving various luxury and aspirational brands across North America. Stephen’s influences come from a small variety of artists and designers from the American midcentury, pop, and postmodern movements to make up his stylistic repertoire. This incredibly unique art piece will make for a wonderful addition to any automotive enthusiast/art collection.

Thanks everyone for following along and bidding— that 2-minute reset is always fun to watch on these PCarMarket auctions.
As a heads-up, there's a companion piece I'm working on that would have gone well with this one that's in the final stages of being finished in my studio. It'll be a good candidate for you folks to consider, so watch out for that soon here at PCM.
As always, please consider following me on my social channels. Thanks again and congrats to winning bidder @broughtagarage. Cheers everyone,

One-hour warning! Thanks again for checking out the item and following my work. I'll pop in shortly after bidding wraps up.
Whoever is the new owner of this beautiful painting , WILL not be disappointed. My friend has incredible skill as shown in this painting. Good luck and HAPPY BIDDING!
Howdy and welcome to the final 24-hour stretch! Thanks to all of you writing in to ask questions about the piece— it's a real beauty in person.
Feel free to send me a DM or drop a comment here if you're looking for specific info, including shipping quote to your destination (a common question). I package these in a lightweight crate suitable for protecting the art (inner layer of craft paper wrapping, middle layer of 1/4"-thick styrofoam, and outer layer of medium-ply wood board), so it's highly suitable for safe transportation using common carriers. Due to my studio's central location, it's also fairly reasonable pricing when shipping to most parts of North America.
Thanks again for your interest and best of luck,
—SS
Good luck brother. It looks incredible as always.

@935JohnDuncanClark91 Ooooo don't let my buddy Manu hear that! Thanks for the kind feedback :)
This is a truly exceptional piece. It appears almost 3 dimensional. The reflections are not overly exaggerated and they beautifully enhance the sculpted lines of the car. The golden yellow colour is as I recall seeing the car. Move over Manu and Malcolm!
Hi everyone, and thanks for your continued interest and support of my work here at PCarMarket. I'm particularly excited by this piece, in no small part to the finish quality of the epoxy resin pour and the enamel paint highlights that sit atop that clear layer— making for a stunning dimensional effect.
Just making an introduction to kick things off and offer my assistance if any of you have any questions. I'll be checking in from time to time to discuss a few FAQs about my work, including common inquiries about shipping methods and pricing.
If any of you want to reach out to me directly if you have any questions or comments, feel free to email me at stephen(at)stephenselzler.com
