Available for auction is a custom-built Porsche M28 V8 engine display table, sourced from an early-production 1978 Porsche 928 (#144). This furniture-grade piece features a fully bead-blasted and powder-coated engine block, with the aluminum block, heads, cam carriers, and intake finished in a metallic silver, and the cast iron headers in gloss black. All internal components have been removed for weight reduction and aesthetic display. The seller states Michael Alan Ross was the photographer for the engine table photoshoot.
Topped with a 40" x 46", 1/2"-thick tempered glass surface, the top features precision laser-cut sculpting to contour around the intake tubes, creating a striking visual centerpiece. The table is mounted on lockable casters for easy mobility, weighs approximately 250 lbs including the glass, and is fully modular for breakdown and reassembly.
The table will be professionally carton-packed and palletized with wood sides by a logistics company. A truly unique, functional art piece for the Porsche enthusiast.
