Available for auction is a Petri “Pilet” steering wheel or “banjo” wheel. Thought to be from the 1950s, this 405mm diameter wheel was an accessory wheel for Germans cars, specifically Porsche and Volkswagen. The seller notes the wheel is in good overall condition with a minor crack. The wheel is missing its horn button. The seller states a new hub would need to be machined in order to fit a Porsche/Volkswagen. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees.

This is an excellent condition Pilet wheel for your early Volkswagen or Porsche. It will need a hub modification so keep that in mind. This can easily be done with Bob Koch who is active on Facebook and in the Southern California VW parts world.
