Available for auction is a set of rare Tramont CUP 3-piece step-lip wheels, made in France and stamped accordingly, designed specifically for Porsche vehicles. These wheels feature a 5×130 bolt pattern and Porsche hubcentric center bore (approximately 71.6 mm). The fronts measure 18×8J with an offset of ET42 (stamped “CUP 8Jx18 FH2 ET42”), while the rears are 18×11J with an offset of ET40 (stamped “CUP 11Jx18 FH2 ET40”). ![]()
Finished with silver centers, polished lips, chrome assembly hardware, and Porsche crest center caps, they offer a classic and high-quality appearance. The wheels are used and show a few blemishes consistent with age, but remain in overall good condition and ready to enhance the look of your Porsche as stated by the seller. ![]()

Thanks for your reply and the research time expended.
Appreciated
My apologies, Autometrics, is who I refer to for a lot of these questions and they are attending the HSR Race in Daytona this weekend so I am doing a lot of this research myself (I am not an expert, btw).
@Hen3gon - For a standard narrow‐body 996 (996.1): The rear size (11 J ET40) is much wider and more offset aggressively than what most owners run for a stock narrow‐body. Without arch rolling/pulling and possibly other modifications, the fit may not be acceptable. If you’re willing to modify or accept a “stance” fitment, they could work—but for a stock narrow‐body I’d advise caution or selecting wheels with less width/less “poke. Great car, btw! My 1st Porsche was a 2001 C4.
@Petertraphagen80 - For the 2005 996 Cup: While technically they fit, the rear wheel width/offset (11 J ET40) is quite aggressive compared to the original Cup spec (11 J with ET59 in one spec sheet). So you’ll want to check for sufficient clearance, arch modifications, or tire fitment. Also, the front tire is a little smaller in size (width), compared to stock wheels.
Based on what I am reading, these wheels are designed for a wide-body 911 - specifically, 993 Turbo/CS/4S.
Also interested if these would fit a 996.1 NB
Would these fit a 996 cup 2005?
Thx
Pete
Bid in the amount of $1,000
@twickes40 -
From the info I found, Tramont does build their wheels as true 3-piece units (center hub + inner rim + outer rim). They appear to offer or allow replacement outer lips (and likely barrels) through third-party channels for the split-rim style. I don’t have a confirmed direct catalog from Tramont showing separate centers for sale though. If you’d like, I can check with Tramont (or their US distributor) to see if centers + lips can be ordered separately and what the lead-time & cost would be.
@seller do you know if tramount sells separate centers and lips?
I suspect these would be better suited for a 964 with after market wide body fenders and standard 964 control arms in the rear. This set up allows for deeper dish rear wheels than a turbo or turbo look car.
@carguy4fun - Yes, these will fit a 964 Turbo, based on the research I’ve done. I am not an expert on wheels though. The bolt pattern, hub bore, and offsets are all correct for that chassis. The fitment will be aggressive and may stick out on the rears, however.
It sounds like these wheels will fit a 91 964 turbo would you agree

@johnv - Good morning. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics but I do have a short video of them on there that I posted on my Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/3xCkQ3oYYIQ - if you search for Por4mance, it should be the latest video posted. I also took two screenshots of the video that I will upload on here as well.
Hi any pictures of that 993 turbo ?
Bid in the amount of $200
@bankrep40 Appreciate the question! These will physically bolt up to a narrow-body 993, but they’re not an ideal fit. The fronts (18×8 ET42) would work fine, but the rears (18×11 ET40) are simply too wide — they’ll poke past the fenders unless you modify it. They originally came off a wide-body 993, and were a little wide on that.
Will these fit a narrow body 96 993
@chuckent - no worries. These wheels came off of a 993 Turbo, and from what I understand, they were a little wide for it. I'm going to verify that with the owner to confirm but that is what the mechanic for Autometrics recalls.
Thanks James, can you confirm if the 993 was a narrow body or wide body turbo or S car?
Hello, PCAR community. This is James, with Por4mance Motors and Detail Garage. Up for auction at no reserve is a staggered set of Tramont CUP 3-piece wheels (Made in France) in classic Porsche 5-spoke style, sized 18×8 ET42 and 18×11 ET40, 5×130 with Porsche crest caps. @chuckent This set was removed from a 993 and ran without spacers on that car, offering a purposeful, period-correct look with polished lips and silver centers. A great option for air-cooled and water-cooled Porsche applications, buyers should verify fitment for their specific model, but these have proven bolt-on on the 993 they came off of. There are a few small blemishes, as shown in the attached photos. If you have any questions, please contact me. Best of luck bidding! V/R, James
what car were they on?
