Available for auction is an original Porsche Tea Tray spoiler. According to the seller, this example is in original condition and was removed from a 911 SC. The decklid is finished in Guards Red and features a black rubber lip, a black 911 SC badge, and a red aluminum grille. The wing is constructed of a fiberglass panel bonded to a steel frame. The wing is best suited for 1974 to 1989 Porsche 911 models. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

Do you know what it weighs
I have added two photos. The first is a better picture of the lip of the spoiler that is in this auction. I believe it is called a "tea tray." The second (which shows a racing stripe) is a picture of a different style of lip (I believe called a "whale tail.") that is on a 78 Carrerra 3.0 that I own.

A question arose about the item as to whether it is a turbo or carrera wing. My reply to the person asking was as follows: I believe it to be what you described as the turbo wing. It has a very pronounced raised edge all the way around (hence the tea tray designation). I drive a 78 SC with the other wing, the Carrera wing you reference, which is flat on the sides, raised in the back and is sometimes referred to as a whale tale. Happy to send pics of both if that helps. I will post addl photos of wing for sale as well as the wing on my 78 SC tomorrow.
Is this a Carrera or Turbo tail, could be either from the pictures? Could you post a picture showing it like it would sit on the car, upright?
@Martini91. I believe original paint. No evidence of overspray or different color. Not sure how to reply to comment re condition other than to say I consider it to be in very good condition given age. Compares very favorably those listed elsewhere. Other than that SC years were 78-83, not sure I can narrow it down. I purchased it several years ago from a very well respected Dealer (not Porsche dealer) in NorthEast who handles high end Porsches for resale. It was my intention to use it for display, but value for use on a period vehicle (per prices paid on BAT) precluded that. I can post a photo of another completed display piece if anyone interested.

Seller here. Feel free to ask any questions and will try to reply promptly. If the successful bidder needs item shipped, I’m happy to assist. I believe I can find a box that it will fit into at the local U-Haul. U-Haul also sells a large plastic bag of styrofoam “P-nuts” for packaging as well. I’ve previously shipped a box containing two Recaro seats this way. The buyer used Greyhound bus lines to ship the box successfully. Relatively inexpensive. Happy to drop off at shipper chosen by the purchaser.
