Available for auction is a set of two exceptionally rare and beautiful collector’s watches: the Porsche 911 Carrera Automatic Date Speedometer, produced in a strictly limited and numbered edition of just 911 pieces. These watches, manufactured in Germany in 1989 and 1990 (numbered 120/911 and 9/911 respectively), pay tribute to the iconic Porsche 911 Carrera models from 1989 to 1998, with dials inspired by the original speedometers from the 1989 and 1991 cars.
The seller states both timepieces are in perfect, like-new condition, never worn, and still feature the original protective film on the front and back. Powered by the reliable Japanese Miyota 821A automatic movement with hand-winding capability, they offer a 42-hour power reserve, 21 jewel bearings, and functions including a large minute hand, hour hand, sweeping second hand, and a date window at 3 o'clock.
The watches feature a 44.74mm polished stainless steel case, 12.67mm thickness, black rally-style perforated cowhide leather straps, sapphire glass, luminescent indexes, a thorn clasp, and 5 ATM water resistance. The watch dials are based on the original speedometer dial from Porsche Carrera from 1989 and 1991.
