Available for auction is a Roger Penske autographed Porsche racing photo. This rare, possibly one-of-a-kind photograph captures Roger Penske in full racing gear—helmet and suit—taking a leap into a Porsche 550 RS, likely taken between 1958 and 1961.
The striking black-and-white image, signed "All the best, Roger Penske," is printed on canvas and measures approximately 48" in width, with a height of 47". The photograph comes with original wall mounting hardware, including two metal rods and four brackets, ensuring an impressive and dramatic presentation. This iconic piece offers a unique glimpse into the legacy of one of motorsport's most legendary figures.
The seller would like you to know: " This autographed photo of Roger Penske hung in his Scottsdale, Arizona Porsche dealership until the showroom was remodeled and the art work replaced. I acquired the piece from dealership's general manager."

Wow that is very hard to tell either way. Maybe there's an autograph expert that will see this and chime in. Thanks for the close up photo.

The autograph appears to be hand-signed in ink, perhaps with a Sharpee, on the print. It does not appear to be an image of an autograph. See the additional close-up photo in the gallery.

Greggory, good question. Given the age of the photo, it had to have been shot on film. I assume that the enlarged print on canvas was made from the negative. I therefore further assume that the enlarged print was then signed. But I didn't see Mr. Penske sign it. I will examine it closely when I return home tomorrow and then respond further. But whether the autograph is ink on the print or the print was made from a signed photo rather than from a negative, the autograph must be genuine because Mr. Penske's own dealership would not display a counterfeit, and the piece is really cool and looks great on the wall in my racing simulator room, as it did at the Porsche dealership.
Is this a print with a genuine hand signed autograph or is the autograph part of the print?
