Available for auction is a fully restored 1974 Gottlieb Sky Jump pinball machine, a classic drop-target favorite from the golden era of electro-mechanical games. This example has just undergone a comprehensive restoration and operates beautifully while presenting exceptionally well for a machine over 50 years old as stated by the seller.
Included with the game are the original framed game flyer in mint condition, the original factory envelope containing the schematics and manual in very good condition, and a Novus cleaning kit with a microfiber cloth to keep the playfield pristine. Restoration work includes a full teardown and cleaning of all score reels and stepper units, properly lubricated (no WD-40 used) and adjusted; new rubbers throughout; a stripped, cleaned, waxed, and reassembled playfield fitted with brand-new plastics; and a cabinet that was cleaned and touched up for a refreshed appearance.
The lighting has been updated with incandescent bulbs, except for red and blue LED pop bumpers for visual effect (original look can be restored upon request). Additionally, the coin door, coin bezel and stickers, ball shooter, and cabinet legs were replaced with new parts, including new bolts and leg levelers, while the backdoor was also newly fabricated.
Minor spiderwebbing is present on the backglass near the score reels, consistent with age, but overall this Sky Jump presents beautifully and plays as it should, a perfect blend of nostalgia and craftsmanship. PLAYFIELD PLASTICS
Forgot to mention that the original playfield plastics appeared yellowed, so I replaced them with a brand new set.

ABOUT ME
I started my passion for collecting pinball machines and learning how to repair them in high school and have continued as a collector, re-seller and operator (us people that install coin-operated equipment in businesses) for over 45 years now. I also accumulated Jukeboxes, Slot Machines, Pedal Cars, Advertising Signs, etc, etc. I had the intention of opening up a food, drink & pinball museum. Now that many others have already done pinball museums, plus I’m now in my 60’s, so I’m no longer interested in starting another retail business. My collection spans from the late 1800’s through the modern era, with a lot of emphasis on the 1940’s through the 1970’s. Plus I have access to brand new games to sell as well.
My specialties are:
1. Restoring games that are now 50, 60, 70+ years old and bringing them back to life both mechanically and visually.
2. Modding games out with the new features and I also do make a lot of custom toppers.
3. On new games most sellers sell them in the factory box and leave it to the buyer to unpack, assemble, update software and look for any factory flaws / bugs / issues. I offer my “Long Distance White Glove Service”, which means the game arrives at your home fully assembled, tested and with the latest software. I’ve used a trucking company that specializes in transporting rare, large, collectable and highly fragile items. They inspect the game before and note any and all flaws. Then they do a multi layer wrapping of the game that’s already fully assembled. When they deliver your game they unwrap it and all you have to do is plug it in and PLAY.
I’ve accumulated a large collection of games, but also tens of thousands of parts, paperwork, etc. and am now starting to sell off portions of my collection along with new games that I’ve restored or modded out.
@insite94 Hi
Most people prefer pinball machines shipped assembled, including myself.
I like to use Beltmann Integrated Logistics. They will ship door to door and they wrap the game to properly protect it. I’ve been using them for over 20 years and have never had an issue with them. Cost to ship can run about $500 to $800.
Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
Thank you
Rick
Hi Seller - I'm really new to these machines. How do you transport them? Intact, or disassembled? If intact, what are the dimensions and how much does it weigh? Thanks!
