Available for auction is an art-piece by Greg Stirling featuring the "Red Porsche 911 #2” which measures 30" x 48" x 3/4 inches. This original single edition artwork is a hand embellished giclée print on canvas. The piece is made from poly-cotton canvas material and printed with fade-resistant inks, then highlighted using hand applied acrylic paint, acrylic markers. Then UV resistant acrylic gel gloss medium is applied ensuring that the art piece print will stay looking great for years to come.

The art piece is signed and includes a certificate of authenticity that includes exact specifications and details of the painting. The original Porsche 911 is a luxury sports car made by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany. A prototype of the famous, distinctive, and durable design was shown to the public in autumn 1963. Production began in September 1964 and continued through 1989. It was succeeded by a modified version, internally referred to as Porsche 964 but still sold as Porsche 911, as are current models.Mechanically, the 911 was notable for being rear engine and air-cooled. From its inception, the 911 was modified both by private teams and the factory itself for racing, rallying and other types of automotive competition.

The original 911 series is often cited as the most successful competition car ever, especially when its variations are included, mainly the powerful 911-derived 935 which won 24 Hours of Le Mans and other major sports cars races outright against prototypes. Don’t miss your opportunity to add a touch of sophistication to your collection by acquiring this stunning piece. @Mikezartwork Hello Mike, you are correct in that it took a matter of minutes to generate this image, however I have over 44 thousand images, (and 44 thousand prompts were written) - so that would be 44 thousand times 2 minutes = 1,466 hours. The best images are curated by myself, a social media crowd review and the Pcar staff. Some need to be fixed in photoshop or changed from GT2 to GT3 (for example) with acrylic markers and paint. Commissions (1/3 of my business) has to be a spot on representation of the client's vehicle, custom license plates etc. Some are painted on blank canvas and I do plan to paint more when I have time, because I find paintings to be fun and relaxing. I used to make to 2 wet paintings a day using oil based enamel painting wet on wet, a very fast and interesting process. I have committed thousands of images to the web, back in the day, so you have my permission to use AI - if only for its amazing compositions - then project the image onto your canvas. Regarding the ad copy, it has not changed in over a year - it was recently edited however, by our sponsor, excluding some of the process description - I will try to get that put back in.
Congratulations on your recent auction, paintings on average do better than embellished giclée's in this market. I like what you did with the reflections on the blue 917 Gulf. You are an amazing artist! Keep up the good work. Best of luck with everything!! Greg Stirling

I have collected Mr. Stirling's work for a number of years, and I have to say it is Amazing! He also did a commission of my car; it far exceeded expectations and receives compliments all the time. Check out his Instagram page @greg.stirling I would say his work is the best on the market, he is a joy to do business with, committed to his craft, and has made a considerable contribution to the world of art as an artist and as a sculptor.

Although it’s in your certificate of authenticity you should make it abundantly clear that this is not generated by you and purely by AI and likely took a matter of minutes to create before you added a bit of paint and your signature.

@LanceArtworx Hello Lance, I researched your question on the web and found this:
    Question to Microsoft Copilot:
"Can the same art piece be sold as single edition hand-embellished giclée prints and open edition prints?"
    Sent by Copilot:
"Yes, the same artwork can indeed be sold as both single edition hand-embellished giclée prints and open edition prints. Here’s how it works:
Single Edition Hand-Embellished Giclée Prints: These are limited edition prints where each piece is individually enhanced by the artist with additional paint or other media, making each print unique. This adds value and a personal touch to each print.
Open Edition Prints: These prints are produced in unlimited quantities and are not individually embellished. They are more affordable and accessible to a broader audience.
By offering both types, artists can cater to different market segments: collectors looking for unique, high-value pieces and those seeking more affordable options."

    Good Luck and Happy Bidding!
    Greg Stirling

Thank you for the clarity Greg. If this image is also available to buy on your website, then its an Open Edition Print and not a Single Edition / 1 of 1 Print. You might want to get the description fixed as it could create confusion and disappointment. Just thought id give you heads-up. Cheers :)

"The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees."
Can you quantify approximately what these fees might total when shipping within the contintal US?

  • LanceArtworx (registered bidder) 3 months, 3 weeksago

Hi Greg, just curious. If this is a single-edition, why is the same photo available on your website in all different sizes?

  • gregstir (seller) 3 months, 3 weeksago

@CaliFarmer Thank you so much for the compliment Russell! I hope all is well with you and Rhonda!
