Powered by a Type 912 flat-12 engine which was progressively enlarged from 4.5 to 5.0 liters, the 917 was introduced in 1969 and went on to dominate sports-car racing in 1970 and 1971.
Greg Stirling lives and creates in San Jose, California and is a member of the Guild of Motoring Artists. His work has been featured in numerous automotive art auctions. Growing up he liked sketching, drafting, drawing and illustration, in college he studied mechanical engineering and machine design then started creating paintings in 1980. I showed these to my grandkids and they told me it looked like an impressive use of pure A Eye, and nothing more. I agree, it really takes the eye of a pure artist to construct something like this.

@gregstir I feel like you missed my previous quesiton. Since you disclose that you use AI, how much of the image was created by AI?
how do you feel about having a fake painter on the site selling bad AI images and passing them off as AI?
Bid in the amount of $533
@photozach My company is a Delaware corporation doing business in California. That is my corporate seal. Good luck and happy bidding!
@PillCosbyApexPredtor Hello Phil, that sounds great, I would be happy to do a piece for your friends shop. You can direct message me here on Pcar or email to gregstir at yahoo dot com.
Or search the web for Greg Stirling Artist to get my cell/text. Good luck and happy bidding!
Bid in the amount of $508
@PillCosbyApexPredtor You make a good point, the seal is very shiny.
Why does the gold seal say Delaware if you are located and produce your art in California?
"this piece was originally a proposal with personalized race team designation"
That's cool that you do commissions for race teams, I'm assuming that's the same with "PApECE" racing and their #18 car image you have as part of this collection. Much wow! I wonder, how would somebody reach you should they want to discuss having you commission a piece? I have a friend with a shop that would love to have something like this in their customer lounge restroom combination space. I can see this on their wall with their business name "Lorem Ipsum Performance" in a custom livery. I'll be watching along here and showing my grandkids this work once they're home from school (I pick them up on Wednesdays).
P.S.- I love that it's certificated too! I enjoy the gold seal to show it's not simply pushed out of a printer. It's very shiny!
Your certificate of auth says you used AI. I'm curious how much you used AI and for what bits exactly?
Specifically it says you "The process of this artwork involves the generation of an original image using digital montage and AI"
Did AI draw the vehicles and scene?
@robotmlg2 Hello this piece was originally a proposal with personalized race team designation. Those letters can be changed or removed for the winning bidder. Good luck and happy bidding!
Why did you paint "OFAΘ" on the front of car #8 in that pitstop painting? What does that mean?
@photozach The process is digital illustration, completed using Photoshop seven running on Windows XP pro. Multiple layers are combined which have been processed using proprietary algorithms and filters. Good luck and happy bidding!
How much of the process is completed by AI? Why is this not mentioned in the listing?
Thank you

How many paintings are included in this auction?
@dino70089 Hello Dino,
I do have a large collection of mostly abstract paintings from back in the day, but these prints I create in house, on demand. I Also have a couple of coffee table books that I produce on demand.
I am thinking about including a print set with each of my larger pieces.
Thank you so much for the compliment!
Good luck and Happy Bidding!
Greg Stirling
