This looks like a good price, but $500 auction fees is a bit steep. %5 would be better

Hello all,
With 1 day left in the auction I will be monitoring much closer, if you have any last minute questions please let me know I will be happy to answer.
Happy bidding!
@restncreate I apologize for the inconvenience. The 17/19 Selected Steel Germany wrench is included it must have been missed in the photos, if you refer to the video posted around the 0:30 mark you can see the wrench is included. It is unfortunately the weekend so I will try to get ahold of PCM to see if they can update the listing.
As far as all original goes. I am new to the marketplace of Porsche Items but was under the impression there were two versions of the roll bag tool kit based on some of the experts that I spoke with. However you seem incredibly knowledgeable so I thank you for your input as you know much more than I do.
All items however are stamped Germany as shown in photos.
Although very nice, the toolset is not complete and does not have the correct wrenches. I have 2 early model Porsche’s with complete sets and the wrench sets that came with the original tool sets were “drop forged steel” with configuration of 8/9, 10/11, 12/13, 14,15 (which these are not and look to be from a younger Porsche) then the rare 17/19 “drop forged steel” open end wrench which is missing. The rest of the bag is very nice.

@Whatever123 No. E-hide rolls were ‘68 ONLY. This bag is a later bag and not E-hide.

I have a roll that came with my one owner completely original 1969 911E. My roll has this same texture look. Is this considered elephant hide? My car was a Jan. 69 build date.

@Bammer222 You are absolutely right. I totally spaced on not seeing the gallery pics. Please accept my apology. Definitely watching’.
@dsdepew there are more photos of the items in the “gallery” if you scroll down on the listing. I do have more photos that I can submit as well if there’s anything in particular you’re looking for
@dsdepew After closer examination of your tool roll, this is not an elephant hide roll. I know because I have one, as well as several earlier and later year tool rolls. and yours roll is a later roll. I would suggest close up pics of the tools as you might get a better price than just having one pic and a video. It looks like a nice kit. GLWS
Bid in the amount of $25
Elephant hide tool rolls, the bag at least, is a 1 year, 1968 only roll.
@traimpz348 you’ll have to excuse my lack of knowledge, from what I’ve found these tool kits known as “roll bags” came in 60s and 70s 911s. There are a few different varieties. This one is the one that doesn’t have the hex wrench, spare belt, and tire pressure reader. Maybe a porsche expert can provide more insight on this kit.
I can pick the brain of a few of my sources and drop a comment here if I find anything! Slowly but surely learning!
How is this (if it is) different than a 911E toolkit?
Hi all,
Welcome to my auction, as stated above, I am listing my 1970s era 911 tool kit complete with all the tools listed above. This kit was discovered in a remarkable barn find purchase that included a 1982 924 Turbo that looks to have been previously owned by a PCA member, a 1988 924s and a plethora of other 911, 924, 944, and 914 parts from the 60s-80s.
If you have any questions regarding the kit please feel free to ask and happy bidding!
