@mikelaca Sorry for the delay - I have added additional photos. The inside of the lights looks 100% new, I can't see any metallic flaking off.
@ipryor On the upper half of the light (the part that would be 'white' on a normal tailight), if you look inside it, you can see the silver colored area has a layer of metallic red on it. Can you send a closeup photo of the 'interior" (behind the glass) of the light as that area is known for metallic flaking off. Want to see how much of that may have happened.
Good to know, can you send the exact part number or even better, a photo of it, because that part number when I search online appears to be the half white half red one.
@mikelaca the all red taillight was an option from the factory on 987.1 Cayman S models. You are correct that the standard light was half red and half white.
Hi can I get some clarity on this. I know these cars pretty well and the Cayman S tailamps were half red half white (do a google image search for Cayman S 987.1 These are full red. The only model I know of that is full red is the 2008 987 Cayman S Design Edition 1. Can you confirm which car these came from and any other insight yo have on this?
