This figure represents one of the iconic Esso “Oil Drop” character mascots originally created in the 1950s to personify the friendly, service-oriented image of the Esso (later ExxonMobil) brand. 
The Oil Drop duo, “Mr. and Mrs. Esso,” became beloved advertising symbols across Europe and North America, making them highly sought-after by collectors of vintage petroliana and automotive memorabilia.
