Available for auction is the actual nose cone from the 1983 Ford-Cosworth CART Formula One car, originally owned and raced by three-time World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi and the Fittipaldi/Dingman Racing Team as stated by the seller. This piece was from the Cleveland Grand Prix in July 2003, when the car, driven by Tiago Monteiro, crashed during trials in the Bridgestone Champ Car World Series.
The nose cone is constructed from layered carbon fiber and retains its original part number sticker (pictured). It features vibrant and intact sponsor decals from Bross, Carrera, Ford, Bosch, and Fittipaldi/Dingman Racing. The component was kept by a member of the pit crew and later sold by his son. It is mounted on a carbon fiber-style display base measuring 25" x 11", secured using metal rods attached through the factory bolt holes.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a genuine piece of open-wheel racing history. The buyer is responsible for tariffs, duties, customs, shipping, shipping insurance, handling, transactional fees or any miscellaneous fees. PCARMARKET is not responsible for anything lost or damaged during shipping.
