Available for auction is a Daniel Arsham “Future Relic” 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo collector piece in grey #317/500. The seller states the original box is unopened and the holographic seal is intact. The cover photo of this item is representative of what the sculpture looks like, however, this is an unopened box. Included with this very limited-edition sculpture is the “turbo” branded box, custom foam inserts to house the art piece, a set of handling gloves, and a holographic authtication label.
Centered around the idea of contemporary items being discovered in the far future, the Porsche is represented in an eroded state with visible “damage” to the exterior of the classic sports car. Made from hydro-stone and quartz crystals, these limited production pieces have gathered a cult following in both the contemporary art and Porsche worlds. Don’t miss your opportunity to own a piece of the future with this rare Eroded Porsche 930 Turbo. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees.

@TheVintageCarGuy it was purchased from StockX. I assume they do their due diligence and x-ray or inspect the package or maybe even use a snake camera or something to make sure that it’s there. I will gladly FaceTime the winner or send a video opening it before collecting payment if that is their wishes
Well, this auction poses quite the quandry. Collectibles are worth the most if they are in their original, unopened box. But, in this case, the box is solid and one can not be sure what is in the box unless they open it, but that would lessen the value. But if you don't open the box, how do you asure that there is actually an Eroded Porsche inside and not just a brick? Do you simply have to trust that what is supposed to be in there really is?
