3k + option from factory folks, and as PBradz mentioned, its quite transformative for the cab....almost like having two cars...
Bid in the amount of $500
These hardtops really make a Cabriolet a year round car. I picked up one last fall and this past winter, while mild in NC, was wonderful with it on. Cozy and quiet.
Yes, it will fit.

I have a 2008 911 turbo cabriolet. Am I correct that it would fit. Thanks
Good morning everyone - recognizing we are in “count down” mode for the auction, I’ll be monitoring the auction throughout the day to answer questions.
I have been a PCA member for about the past 30+ years and have owned, operated and maintained 10-11 air cooled and water cooled 911s (into the 996 line). I have a fair degree of experience and understanding of material condition, proper maintenance and functional capability of those cars. I’m also reminded daily of new things things I learn from other owners through face to face conversation, tech discussions with experts, driving my cars and what I observe on the web.
This top will make a fine addition to any well-maintained late model 996 or early model 997 - turbo or NA car.
We live in northern VA and invite anyone to look at the top at any time.
Pls note that the top lining has no smells, no fingerprints, nor stains.
Other than the two marks I just photographed, there are no other marks on the top. Anything else is reflection.

I found a small mark on the drivers side near the front edge and a couple very faint surface rubs on the passenger side near the front. They are shown in the photos I just added. Those are the only marks I can find.
The driver side mark looks like a tiny chip that could be filled with a touch up paint pen. The little swirl marks could likely be buffed out if desired.
The top-to-body edging is a very heavy black felt material and looks almost like a tuxedo lapel. That felt edging is very sturdy and very rich, it is obvious that the top has not seen much use on a car.
can we see the small handling marks?

Rare factory option indeed!

@Cam1bmf2u local pickup would be perfect…Northern VA, Fairfax area.
Local pickup?
Hi folks - I sourced this top for a 2005 996 Turbo S and never ever used it. According to my tape measure, it is 16”H x 55”W x 68”L. And according to web sources weighs 74lbs.
Super nice condition. Will only fit 996.2 or 997 due to the change in locating pins.
If you buy it for a car that was “hard top delete” you’ll have to have mounting HW installed in your car. I do not have the installation tool either. You would source that when you get the mount HW from Porsche.
can you please post exact dimensions? (and weight) these units are a PITA to ship properly so that information is very helpful upfront.
thanks!
