Available for auction is an American Retro Racer pedal car. The pedal car was made to commemorate the early 1950’s Ferrari Formula racing cars, manufactured by California-based company American Retro, who marketed the pedal car as "Red Racer". The steel bodywork is finished in red with a single-seat cockpit, and features include a chrome windshield frame, a Scuderia Ferrari nose shield, and faux exhaust pipes. 
The cockpit features a single seat trimmed in black vinyl upholstery. A chrome three-spoke steering wheel directs the front wheels. The rear wheels are driven by twin foot pedals, which also provide braking input. The bronze-color stamped-steel faux wire wheels feature two-eared center spinners, and they wear 12” solid rubber front tires and 13.5” rear tires. The wheels have imperfections around the rims and some blemishes which are shown up close in the gallery. 
The pedal car measures approximately 50” in length, 16” in width, with a height of 20.5” to the top of the steering wheel. Whether you are a Ferrari enthusiast or a collector of automobilia, this Retro Racer would make an excellent addition to any garage space or collection. @UniqueAutomobilia yes it appears to me that the whole car was painted before my ownership, the steering original color is chrome not black. In my experience, I don't think it needs to be redone, it actually looks great now but for a perfect looking classic, maybe a light wet sanding and then a clear coat.
The pedal car is not perfect, but definitely looks great.
The car looks as though the whole thing was repainted and not well. The steering wheel appears painted and was originally black and the wheels that were origianlly in a chrome also appear to be painted......it appears that the whole thing needs a redo, is that correct?

@Secrent yes, it looks like the previous owner repainted it, not sure if there was any body work on it, I can’t see any areas with dents or damage.
I did mention that it might have been repainted in my listing but not sure why it doesn't show in the description.
