Available for auction is a 3.4-liter flat-six engine removed from a running and driving 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera (991.1) with just 26k miles. Delivering 350 horsepower, this naturally aspirated MA1.02 engine represents Porsche’s first-generation direct fuel injection flat-six in the 991 platform.
The engine is offered complete with its intake manifold, fuel injection system, throttle body, exhaust manifolds, wiring harness, and coil packs. The seller reports that the engine was removed in excellent running condition after the vacuum pump drive on the camshaft locked up and broke the end of the pump drive.
Importantly, no metal debris was found in the motor, and an enclosed oil analysis confirms the engine to be in very good condition. Removed by a Porsche dealer from a running car, this low-mileage powerplant is well-suited for use as a replacement, spare, or performance project.

If you look at the video or the pictures we have provided, you can see what you need to remove as the allen bolt holding the cam drive fixture on the end of the Cam. There’s no damage to the heads. I can take some close-up pictures in the morning if you would like.

Yes, I believe we still have a crate to put this into ship it. When the owner bought the new motor, it came from Poland in a nice crate and I believe we still have it out in the back at the shop. For the work that needs to be done on the Cam drive. I have never looked into the parts but it should be a fairly easy job. It requires special tools to lock the engine up so that the camp timing doesn’t change when you remove the drive and put the air Pump back in it.

How much will you charge to pack the engine in a crate? Obviously LTL shipping is variable and buyer pays but will you setup freight or is the buyer responsible?
I’m also interested in learning more about possible damage to the heads/cams.
I understand that there is no metal debris in the engine, but can you comment on the extent of external damage to the head and camshaft mating surface?
