Featuring a recent oil service, brand new tires, a 6-speed manual transmission and a powerful 3.6 L flat-six engine, this Carrera is just waiting to be driven by its next owner. With its advanced all-wheel drive system, this Carrera 4S makes for a perfect weekend cruiser or daily driver. It is now being offered in driver-grade condition with 63k miles on the odometer.
Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic, this Carrera 4S is said to be in great cosmetic condition with very little wear. Exterior modifications include LED rear tail light assembly along with the addition of an LED third brake light. As a 4S variant, this example sports a factory widebody as well as integrated air vents in the rear bumper. The car rides on factory alloy wheels that wear brand new General G-Max tires.

@miamiarchitecture Pictures of paint meter readings for each panel of the body have been posted. A paint meter measured the thickness of the paint on the surface of a given object. Large differences in the thickness of several panels may indicate paintwork that is not original. In this case, the work was done very well and without a meter, it is virtually impossible to see where the work was done. Thanks and good luck bidding!
@miamiarchitecture I think it is the readings on the digital tool you see in the photos. On that one fender the paint is much thicker than everywhere else on the car.

@VRMoose I know the seller confirmed it, but how are you able to tell there was paintwork? I don't see any evidence. I'm no expert - just like to learn things.
Can the car be seen in person? I work in KOP. Thanks.
@cfdaum1976 It's a little late to do one tonight, but I'll post one tomorrow. Thanks!
Would it be possible to get a cold start video? Thank you.
@VRMoose I know for a fact that the passenger side has paintwork because I commissioned it. When the car came in, there were several small chips on the quarter panel and door that looked as though someone parked next to this car regularly and opened their door into it. Because touch up would look horrible, I thought the car deserved to be painted properly. All the work was cosmetic only. No panels were replaced and no body work was done--strictly paintwork.
I worked very closely with my body man to verify that no holes were drilled into the body of the car for anything, including a roll bar. He was able to confirm that nothing was installed and nothing was tampered with at all. Everything is original. It would be more likely that the back seat was removed to pay homage to the GT2 or GT3 models.
Please let me know if there is any other information I can offer. Thank you and good luck bidding!
Bid in the amount of $7,200
Seller, thanks for your responsiveness. Would you agree the passenger side of the car has been repainted? Based on your team’s inspection, can you comment on any observed body/frame/undercarriage/panel repairs? It’s difficult to assess whether the repaint was due to an accident or a bad key job... Also, the different seats in back make me wonder whether a roll bar or similar attachment was previously mounted. Can you comment on what you can see? Thanks.
@ddoerr44 Please note that the pictures of the underbody have been posted.
@Love2bugs Thank you for your question. A presale inspection was completed. At that time, the mechanic was unable to verify whether or not the IMS had been replaced. It did appear that the rear main seal was replaced at one point in the car's history so there is a good possibility the IMS was updated, I just don't have paperwork to verify so we must assume it has not been replaced. That said, the winning bidder may opt to have the IMS replacement including a new rear main seal completed by our mechanic at his/her expense for our cost of approximately $2,300.
Good luck bidding!
Hi There
What is the IMs bearing story???
Bid in the amount of $6,911
Bid in the amount of $5,555
@ddoerr44 Thanks for the compliment. I will be posting some pictures of the underbody tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.
Very interesting build it seems it has supple leather back seats and standard leather front which I have never seen on a 996. With a sport shifter, sport exhaust and technic package makes this vehicle stand out.
Great looking car! Do you have any pictures of the undercarriage??
@kidslearningtube Please see the last post. Thanks!
@VRMoose Thank you for your questions. Pictures of the meter readings were submitted at the time of listing. I will request that they be uploaded again. I did not trade the car in at this dealership so I unfortunately do not have any records that came with the car. A presale inspection was completed. At that time, the car received brand new tires, inner and outer CV boots, and a replacement expansion tank. Brakes were measured at 4/32" front, 5/32" rear. The mechanic was unable to verify whether or not the IMS had been replaced. For an additional $700, the clutch replacement can be included though it is not currently needed.
Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you and good luck bidding.
Did the IMS bearing get replaced with a retro fit LN bearing yet?
Seller, please provide paint depth readings and any maintenance/service details you have (IMS, RMS, clutch, spark plugs, etc.). Please describe everything you did to prepare the car for sale. Thanks.
