Now up for auction at no reserve is this 2003 Lexus SC 430 finished in Absolutely Red over a Saddle Tan leather interior. Developed from the ground-up as a convertible luxury grand tourer, the second-generation Lexus SC Coupe features a double-wishbone suspension setup, wind-tunnel-developed styling, and a 4.3L V8 engine with VVT-I variable valve timing. This 2003 example was purchased by the seller from a dealer in 2012 as a certified pre-owned vehicle and is now being offered without reserve out of California.
This SC 430 is finished in Absolutely Red and the car is said to have been garage-kept for much of its life. Additional images showing some cosmetic imperfections are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX. The styling of the SC coupe was largely inspired by yachting design and a special emphasis was placed on aerodynamics to provide a comfortable top-down driving experience. The retractable aluminum hardtop on this example is said to remain fully functional. It rides on factory 5-spoke 18” aluminum wheels that come dressed in new tires.
Inside, you will find a Saddle Tan interior with leather-trimmed seats and wood veneers. Wear is depicted on the driver’s seat along with an area of discoloration on the left rear passenger seat and some splitting of the wood veneers. Standard amenities include multi-adjustable power-operated seats with memory, DVD-based navigation, a premium Mark Levinson sound system, and dual-zone automatic climate control. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3UZ-FE V8 engine that sends 300 HP and 325 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission. The SC 430’s platform shared characteristics with the GS 430 sport sedan and features a double-wishbone suspension for the front and rear as well as variable-assist power steering. Some invoices for routine maintenance are provided in the photo gallery and CARFAX shows the last documented service to have been carried out in December of 2020 at 103,913 miles. The front brake pads have also been recently replaced.
This sale will include the original owner’s books and a clean Nevada title. Offered at no-reserve, this SC 430 provides an excellent value for any driver in search of a luxurious roadster.

Congratulations to the winning bidder great buy for a Lexus SC430!
@DCHMontclairAcura @TimThomas130 weird that you came in so late and asked questions in the final minute of someones auction without any intention on bidding.
@DCHMontclairAcura @TimThomas130 Thanks I didn't realize that you could do that, but trust me its a great car. Bid with confidence.
@Coachmule I'm not implying it was rolled back. was just curious if there was already a correction in process with carfax. I see these errors all the time however generally it's one clerical error. This has multiple and it's easier for the current owner or the shop the work was done to correct it with carfax than it is for the new owner.

@DCHMontclairAcura @TimThomas130 Tim, the milage has not been rolled back this was mistakes at repair shops. This car isn't even reached wholesale pricing yet, the milage was messed up by shops, I now won't leave until the I ensure the milage was written correctly.

@coachmule ... have you reached out to the service facilities or carfax to ask them to get it corrected? Carfax corrects them if they were just clerical errors.
@coachmule actually there are 2 errors. On 6/17/19 it was entered at 102568. after that on 7/15 it was entered at 75037 and then on 12/19 at 101,131 both of which are below the 102568 entered previously.

@jplatis it's a tire sensor that Big O couldn't get reset , but the car has new tires on it, not sure they knew how to set it. it's just a sensor light for tires.
Thanks for the video.
What is the orange light that is illuminated in the bottom right corner far left gauge?
@jplatis pcarmarket uploaded the cold start video. Cheers
@jplatis I sent the PCARMARKET team a cold start video I made this morning.

Is there a video of the engine running?
@jplatis The power top works as expected, I posted a video to see it in operation, there are no issues with it. Also there is not an open recall on this car, I took it to Lexus last week for a recall on the passenger air bag. Happy bidding!
