Up for auction is this 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa at NO RESERVE.  Boasting a unique color combination, desirable factory options, and a clean bill of health this car is sure to impress its next owner.  This is a very unique example that is being offered in excellent, turn-key, driver-grade condition.

Finished in its original color of Hellbronze Metallic (L966), this example is said to have had one professional re-spray that still shows to be in well above average condition.  This paint is stated to be free from any fading or noticeable flaws.  The Targa bar has been painted black along with part of the whale tail spoiler, adding a nice touch to this already stellar 911.  Accordingly, factory 16” exterior color-matched Fuchs forged alloy wheels are installed and wear a set of Bridgestone Potenza tires with a good amount tread life remaining (front 6” with 205/55, rear 7” with 225/50).  All seals are said to be completely solid and there are no replaced body panels nor is there any rust present.  Detailed photos of the exterior can be found in the gallery.
The rich brown leather interior is stated to be in excellent condition for its age and mileage and appears to be completely original aside from the upgraded Sony head unit.  This interior is complemented by special ordered and highly desirable factory sport seats along with a full leather dashboard that shows minor warping.  All instruments are gauges are said to be in excellent working order.
This Targa is equipped with its original 3.2L flat-six engine that produces 217 HP and 200 lb-ft torque.  Power is delivered to the rear wheels via the desirable 915 5-speed manual transmission and is said to shift smoothly. Upon acquiring the vehicle in already excellent running condition, after looking over the car the seller’s mechanic performed the following service items, making it as turn-key as possible for its next owner:
  1. All serviceable oil lines replaced
  2. Oil change and brake flush
  3. Front and rear brake hoses
  4. Restored alternator fan
  5. Engine and transmission mounts
  6. Replaced engine sound pad
  7. Shifter bushings
  8. Drive belt replaced
  9. New alternator
  10. New battery
  11. New hood struts
In 1966 Porsche introduced the 911 Targa, a hybrid between a convertible and a coupe. This vehicle platform was the first of its kind and was named after the Targa Florio Road Race in Italy, where Porsche had many victories.
The sale will include one key and a clean Carfax.

@Wolfox Hi - The "Contact Seller" is working and your message was received. I will try to get your questions answered first thing this morning. Thank you!

  • Wolfox 5 yearsago

I can’t get in contact with you. I was asking for documentation to check the possibility to bring the car to Mexico, could you pls provide an email? The “contact the seller” option is not allowing me to send the message.
    Thanks!
