Available for auction is the Porsche 911 RSR painting by Michael Ledwitz. This piece, measuring 24” inches by 36” inches, is a framed Giclee print on canvas, crafted to capture the essence of the iconic Porsche 911 RSR. Originally inspired by the artist's love for Porsche and its respective community, this beautiful work is housed in a wood frame and would make a great addition to any home or collection. This painting is the second in a series of 50 that will be produced worlwide.
The theme of this painting is, do you think I could blend in? The answer would be no, there is no way to blend in with a 1973 Porsche 911 RSR even if you’re hiding in the middle of the night. The artist was inspired on the streets of London when we noticed a Porsche 911 RSR parked against a backdrop of graffiti. Many unique details are incorporated into the work and the longer you look at it the more you will discover.
Michael Ledwitz is known for his abstract style similar to Peter Max and LeRoy Neiman. His love for the arts started with drawing cars at a very young age and was inspired by Hot Wheels. Michael's art is coveted in the automotive industry and has led to many high-level pieces including the artwork done for Carrol Shelby's 85th birthday celebration. Michael's professional career in automotive art started after he was in a near-fatal car accident in 2005. He was forced to slow down from work in franchising in order to heal. His painting began as a hobby; a way to relax and reflect. Soon after, people started to notice Michael’s talent and began requesting commissioned pieces of their own. Since then, Michael’s accomplishments include silent auction pieces for Zoo Atlanta, commissioned paintings for Carroll Shelby’s 85th birthday in Las Vegas, Shelby Licensee, and was most recently the featured artist in the June 2023 issue of Panorama Magazine.
Whether you're a dedicated racing enthusiast, a Porsche aficionado, or simply someone who appreciates the fusion of art and legacy, this masterpiece promises to be a cherished addition to your collection—a timeless reminder of a moment frozen in time at the crossroads of speed and artistry. Hello everyone I hope all is well. We have just about two days left on this auction and I just wanna let you know a little bit about this piece. It was inspired by an image that I saw of 911 Rsr in London and the graffiti on the back wall, and I just thought it was an incredible image, and I wanted to create it, and so I created it and I allowed the graffiti on the wall to drape onto the car and then as I was doing that I realize that would be awesome to look at the car with graffiti from the wall everywhere and so I incorporated that into the artwork. I’ve hand drawn this and I’ve created this by hand, so as you look at this piece, I hope you take that into consideration when you’re placing your bids. I as you can see if you look at the history of this piece. this is a limited series that will have only 50 produced worldwide. You can look at the results and see what the last one went for and that was for the very first one that was released but take a look at my past sales, and you can get more of an idea of where we are as far as the true value of this artwork. Good luck and HAPPY BIDDING.
