@ Hemibob You will need a custom harness built and integrated into your original harness. It’s not included since it would depend on the Chassis used for installation. Al @ X-Faktory has a source to do so, price to be determined based on your application. Thank you.
@DriveOneMotors what else is needed to complete the installation? I don’t see a wiring harness listed.

Hi DriveOne
Great engine!
Can you tell us the case #'s and serial # for this engine, as well as its original 'fit' please?
Am i correct in assuming that this is not a factory RS engine, but a lower hp engine built to near RS spec?
I am in the market to install this engine in my '74 2.7 cis u s spec Carrera with my original transmission.
Also, (if i win) would i be welcome to fetch this engine my self - i will be in california next week.
Cheers

@T61auto '75 also marked the beginning of the 8:31 R/P, my best recommendation
is the '74 915 with 7:31 Ring and Pinion for better low end acceleration.
@T61auto Your actual application would determine the final selection of gearbox, but here's my recommendation. The period correct selection would be a '74 Euro Carrera 915/06 7:31 R/P with ZF Limited Slip (LSD), which is same gear ratio as the '73RS 915/08 minus w/tail-cover oil pump. The '72-77 911 offered a Magnesium case which had the advantages of lightness, additionally the '77 model year also offered an Aluminum case 915/61. '76 model marked the beginning of the electronic speedometer.
So suggested 915's
'74 915/06
'75 915/40
'76 915/44 Electronic speedo, some offered with mechanical speedo
'77 915/60 Electronic speedo
915's are also great since you can convert to LSD, Oil Cooler, WEVO side plates, and Gear Ratio customization.
Also keep in mind on the '69 912, you will need to exchange the component since it is 15mm longer then the tube used for the 915.
Hope this helps, Thanks.
Is there a recommended tranny for these engines? Idea is to put engine and correct transmission into a 1969 912 ? suggestions greatly appreciated. Currently have original engine with a factory 5 speed .
Great, thanks!
@jma0506 Typo, noted. On my builds, I've always gone with the non-pressure fed tensioners with lock collars. I've had a tensioner fail, but the lock collars prevented it from total collapse and massive destruction...I trust this very simple and durable.
Hi @DriveOneMotors, looking at the timing chain covers it doesn't look like the oil pick-ups and lines are there for the oil-fed tensioners. Can you confirm which tensioners are installed? Thanks
H2obroker Thanks! we have spark.
Bid in the amount of $5,911
Did you forget the updated tensioner oilers?
@Analog_911 Yes, a 2.7 conversion would work well in a 904 replica and many other 911/912/914/356 models. Engine was built for sale, but have installed previous ones in mid-70’s G-Models with great results. Thanks.
Hello @jwestracing. Rich? This build hasn’t been Dyno’d, Al tunes it on a stand to get it going. But I can tell you from my experience since I’ve owned several of X-Faktory’s 2.7 / 3.0 Hotrod Engines. The performance goals are equivalent to the 74-76 Euro Carrera RS, 210bhp with lots of torque just 4-6% under that. Low end grunt with lots at the top, and snappy throttle response while maintaining great drivability. Thanks, Carlos.
Can you provide torque and HP specs?
Can you provide range of 911 models that this would fit?
What about a replica 904?
What was it built for originally?
Do you have the dyno results from the build?
Hello, Welcome to my listing for a 2.7RS spec ITB/ EFI Hotrod Engine. I look forward to assisting you with and questions you may have regarding this great build by X-Faktory, Thank you.
