@akamattboyer Hello and thank you for the comment.

I do t think it will cost quite as much as £300 (and certainly not £500 unless a bespoke crate was requested which even then might be less overall).

I was going to use my own packaging materials at no additional cost to the buyer. If a crate was requested then it would cost £200 which is approximately $270). If a crate was requested then other items can be included as well but that is separate issue.

In terms of the courier cost, I normally use FedEx and UPS. FedEx are the most competitive and for an item like this I would anticipate a shipping cost of £200 which again is approximately $270.

In terms of tariffs and customs duties, there are two key elements to keep in mind.

    1. If an item valued less than $800 is imported into the USA from the U.K. then there should not be any additional costs.

    2. The negotiated trade deal between the USA and the U.K. is still ongoing but the rate is set at a maximum of 10%. This could be even less than that as I am hearing there are potential reductions for certain categories of goods. If it was 10% then this would be calculated on the declared value. If the item was declared at costing $1,000 then a 10% tax would be applied as a worst case scenario which would be $100. There would be a broker fee which is normally around $40 I believe but that should be all one would expect.

If the item was bought from Europe or other international countries then the tariffs are 25% to 50% on average.

I am of course not a qualified expert on all matters but this is the understanding I have based on research.

Thank you again for the comment.

    Kind regards

Very very cool sign and agree with the other commenter, I wish it was in the US. I tried to ballpark a shipping quote from UK to US based on size and rough weight and it was £300-500 alone which makes it pretty difficult to justify on top of whatever the sold price ends up being.

    Wishing it was in U.S

@jay993 Hello, thank you for getting in touch.

It was acquired from a privately run UK based racing car team who decided to clear out some of the ‘clutter’ they had gathered. They compete both in Europe and America and have frequented Laguna Seca for many years. I also have one of the signs for the souvenir shop as well.

    Kind regards
