Available for auction is a large authentic Porsche dealership. The sign is stated by the seller to be presented in like-new condition. Measuring an impressive 59” x 49” x 6”, this is the sought-after “Size 3” version—officially the largest standard authentic Porsche crest sign available, with anything larger only existing as special designs.

@dino70089 Unfortunately, that's the fate you have to bear as an international collector. Customs duties are such an issue. You could say: “So chosen, so delivered.”
Did you see the cheat sheet at the press conference? It was all over the media. It was probably 10% and not 15%. He simply changed the figures.
Another small example of why he feels so unfairly treated: When we Europeans order something from America, we pay 19% VAT, which is usually 4-8% for you, i.e. the sales tax. And then we have to add customs duties of between 2% and 7%. We've always been very quick at 26% when we import something from America.

As a bidder of international memorabilia (for personal use, not as a dealer), sadly we also have to factor in tariffs and duties in what we're willing to pay. I'm waiting for about what you're asking for this sign for some 911 carbon fiber parts, also coming from Germany. I'm crossing my fingers I won't get nailed for tariffs and duties, especially since I ordered these parts back in April.

As already mentioned size 2 not size 3 as shown here.
You said it the variables are very different, maybe the two gentlemen who love the sign were in a meeting or on vacation today.
I am sure time will bring someone who will appreciate the value and rarity of this Sign. I repeat myself but we both know what this sign will be worth in 20 years and what a China copy will be worth in 20 years.

A couple of things. That other sign was auctioned way back in 2019. Also, auction houses such as RM typically take 20% buyer commission on collectibles so the price shown would be the all-in price (ie, hammer price closer to $4800).
As for the ask, it always begs the question when the high bid is nowhere near the seller's ask price. Yes, lots of variables that may contribute to that. But a fair price is only what someone is willing to pay for it. Wish you the best in getting your ask or something close to it!

There are only a few results for these original signs because they are almost never available for sale. That makes it hard to determine their value—but we do know how rare they are, especially in this condition and in size 3.

The sign shown there is a size 2, which is one size smaller.
Regarding the original lighting: we’ve had a metal box made for about 200–300 USD, which gives it a nicer presentation. At the very least, we wanted to offer a small setup to illuminate it. If you’re looking for an original lighting set—it’s almost impossible to find.
And now a few words about the replicas: if there’s a “Porsche Italia” sticker on it—run away ;)
The market doesn’t make much sense right now. An authentic sign—where maybe only 10 have ever come up at auction—gets no attention. Meanwhile, red lettering replicas that sell for $500 are going for thousands, if not tens of thousands.
But in the end, everyone can decide for themselves what they want to hang in their garage :)
Reserve price seems reasonable for a genuine sign when fake crests sell for 6k+ quite frequently. Good luck with the sale this one is special!
Seller seems mighty optimistic for what is essentially an original Porsche sign panel. The LED lighting and certainly the plywood isn't original. Not saying it's not worth more than the high bid, but the ask seems way too high.

Hello, here is the coat of arms in complete darkness. Also 1-2 pictures of the back. You can see that it was installed outside, which emphasizes again that it is definitely authentic.

Normally the sign is hung in a metal frame. Please see the penultimate picture.
We still have one with us, 3 meters high, double-sided.
We simply used a wooden panel with LED strips for the single sign, you put the sign on top, two screws are then attached to the sign from above and so you can hang it up quite easily, you can't see anything of the wooden panel unless you go very close to the wall and look over the wall.
With the two aluminum Dibond panels that we supply, you can't see any of it at all.
I hope that explains a little about the best way to install it.

I would also like to mention that we supply 3 aluminum Dibond strips (same material as the board) so that you can create a closed advertisement in a few simple steps, as can be seen in the last picture number 26.
The stripes can also be removed so that the sign retains its originality. A sign that is certainly a good investment and will become more valuable over the years

here is an extremely rare, authentic Porsche dealer crest in size 3. There were three sizes of this crest, this is the largest. The frame is in perfect condition, there is no weathering or discoloration. The coat of arms is also in very mint condition, the colors still shine perfectly and it looks like new. It is almost impossible to acquire it in this form.
It is also noted inside which Porsche Center the coat of arms was located in front of.
