Available for auction is a legendary 427 SOHC “Cammer” motor running on a rolling test stand, an extraordinary piece of racing and muscle car history recently acquired from the renowned Richard Munz collection. This engine features a rare “JJ” stamp, believed to coincide with Junior Johnson’s NASCAR testing in 1966, and displays unique casting details throughout.
The powerplant is equipped with chain-driven overhead camshafts, ignition components, and an eight-stack fuel injection system. The finned valve covers bear the Ford logo and “427 SOHC” script. The rolling test stand includes a fuel canister, radiator, gauges, and switchgear.
Developed by Ford for stock car racing, the seller states this iconic motor is showcased in running condition. The buyer is responsible for tariffs, duties, customs, shipping, shipping insurance, handling, transactional fees or any miscellaneous fees. PCARMARKET is not responsible for anything lost or damaged during shipping.
