The 2023 BMW X5 M Competition debuted as the premier model in the X5 lineup, establishing a new benchmark for performance, luxury, and exclusivity. Powered by a potent twin-turbocharged V8 engine, it features an advanced M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, adaptive M suspension, high-performance M compound brakes, and a premium interior. This 50th Anniversary Edition example is finished in Sapphire Black Metallic over Black Full Merino leather upholstery. It benefits from an array of aftermarket modifications, including Renegade Design exterior components, H&R lowering springs, 22-inch Vossen wheels, a Dinan full exhaust system, Evolution high-flow catted downpipes, MSR custom cold air intakes, and several additional upgrades. With no expense spared, this meticulously modified X5 M Competition is now available for auction by its seller out of New Jersey showing just over 3k miles on the odometer.
This example is finished in Sapphire Black Metallic and features 50th Anniversary BMW M Heritage emblems, gloss black Shadowline trim and roof rails, aerodynamic mirrors with integrated turn signals, body-color extended wheel arches, an extended upper wing, and quad-outlet exhaust tips. The exterior has been enhanced with a Renegade Design front spoiler lip, rear diffuser, and side skirts molded as a single piece for this vehicle. Additional modifications include a body-color rear window wiper arm, R&S lowering coil springs, and 22-inch Vossen wheels paired with OEM-sized Michelin Pilot Super Sport 4S tires, which have been driven approximately 1,100 miles. Upon delivery, the vehicle underwent a thorough paint correction and was sent to Advanced Solar Control in New Jersey for full paint protection film and ceramic coating, which comes with a 10-year warranty and self-healing properties for minor scratches. The front windows are tinted to match the factory rear tint, with a 65% windshield tint for UV protection. The windshield has been polished and fitted with removable ExoShield film for added rock chip protection. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, occupants are welcomed by Black full Merino leather upholstery with an Anthracite headliner accented by carbon fiber trim spanning the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Amenities include climate-controlled front M Multifunction seats with massage functions, rear seat heating, 4-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, rear roller sun visors, and a Harmon/Kardon Surround Sound System. Assistance features include Traffic Jam Assistant, Driving Assistant Professional, Active Guard, BMW Laserlight headlights, and the Parking Assistance System Plus. It also supports Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, a BMW Drive Recorder, and gesture control. Additionally, M-Tech Performance carbon fiber shift paddle replacements have been fitted. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order, and no warning lights have been reported.
The X5 M Competition features a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces a factory-rated 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. Power is distributed to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission, the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, and a torque vectoring rear limited-slip differential. Performance enhancements include an M-sport suspension with Active Dampening Control, a self-leveling rear suspension, a rear-wheel-biased track mode, and larger brakes than a standard X5. Modifications include a complete Dinan exhaust system, a flash tune installed by M-Tech Performance, and Evolution heat-coated, high-flow catted downpipes that meet U.S. emissions standards, with the original exhaust and downpipes also available. Custom MSR cold air intakes have been added, designed to meet BMW performance standards, heat-coated to minimize engine heat, and fully integrated with the BMW system. A BMW Performance carbon fiber engine cover has also been fitted, and the aftermarket H&R coils are compatible with the OEM adaptive suspension. The seller adds that the manufacturer-recommended oil changes have been performed and the vehicle's factory warranty remains in effect.
This sale will include a clean title (lien).
The seller would like you to know: “This X5M Competition was purchased new and immediately sent to a professional paint protection facility in NJ. Although BMW's factory paint is excellent, we perfected it through meticulous paint correction before applying full PPF with ceramic coating. The 10-year, self-healing film protects the vehicle from rocks, scratches, and elements. For ultimate driving comfort, the front windows were tinted to match the factory rear tint, offering perfect clarity day or night. A 65% tint was applied to the windshield, enhancing night driving by reducing glare from oncoming traffic. Additionally, the windshield features an ExoShield film for rock chip protection, with hydrophobic properties for improved water runoff. Performance upgrades include a Dinan exhaust and flash tuning system, fully integrated by BMW M Techs to maintain the vehicle's warranty. The high-flow catted downpipes meet U.S. emissions standards. R&S lowering coil springs were installed to enhance the vehicle's stance and handling, perfectly lowering the center of gravity while preserving daily drivability. Custom 22” Vossen wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires with only 1,100 miles, were designed for hub-centric compatibility without spacers. The vehicle also features custom MSR cold air intakes, heat-coated to ensure optimal performance. A carbon engine cover and bespoke carbon fiber front and rear diffusers from Renegade Design, along with BMW carbon mirror caps, enhance both aesthetics and function, providing additional downforce. Interior upgrades include BMW's carbon fiber Clubsport paddles, offering better responsiveness and functionality compared to the stock paddles. The rear wiper has been upgraded to an OEM paint-matched arm, eliminating plastic fading. Garage-kept, driven occasionally for maintenance, and never raced, this X5M boasts exhilarating cold starts without overwhelming cabin noise, allowing full enjoyment of conversations or media during drives. Estimated horsepower exceeds 700, although it's never been dyno-tested. Perfectly maintained and ready for its next enthusiast owner.”

@jgoodacre1 you know that’s a good question. I really don’t think there is so I’m gonna go with no
I don’t recall any of my M cars having a spare tire
I do know the X5M sport version does come with one
And I’m not there to go look for you or I would
Is there a spare tire in the trunk some models come with and without one?
Bid in the amount of $82,000
Bid in the amount of $80,000
@jgoodacre1 yes it does have the pull up shades. Literally just looked cause I never use them it’s tinted. To match factory privacy glass
@jgoodacre1 zero scratches dents ,road rash ,curb rash.
Plus it’s full ppf ceramic wrap and exosheild on whindsheild for rock chips. All of which I have in description and pictures and videos show. It’s perfect.
@jgoodacre1 zero scraps. I just responded to jgoodacre1 with the ride info see below.
@jgoodacre1 Ride is smooth . Best way to say it is better than stock took any body roll in turns out of it. The coil springs are on the stock M adaptive suspension. Just lowered it enough to still do drive ways and speed bumps and stuff no issues or scraping at all.
No stock wheels are the only oem part not included.
Full stock oem exhaust, oem down pipes both sets, oem intake, oem springs all come with it.
These hub centric Vossen wheels made for it are way better than oem wheels.
Everything is easy bolt on.
Before I decided to try it out on here p car market. I considered just swapping back to oem parts and trading it in then selling the parts which would be easy.
People told me don’t dismantle a piece of art. Make it available for someone to enjoy.
So we will see where the bidding goes.
Bid in the amount of $79,750
Will original wheels and tires be included in the deal?
I forgot to ask. How did you say the ride in the SUV is again. I have driven the BMW X3 M and it can be on the hard side how is your ride feel again?
Bid in the amount of $79,500
Any scrapes under the front bumper? Or scratches or digs on the car? Does the car have window shades on the back doors of the SUV? Any curb rash on the wheels?

We have a day and 2hrs. I have had so many private messages and have enjoyed them all. A lot of great car enthusiast on here.
a lot of just great car conversations and bidders doing what every auction does and waiting till final hrs.
I’ve tried to answer everybody’s request to questions the best I could about the vehicle. I mean I update every hour just in case I’m missing somebody’s question
Truly good to see that there’s a lot of people who appreciate the 23 version of the X5M competition over today’s current version.
I mean, let’s face it. They didn’t change much but in my opinion and had many others agree. Squaring off the nose took away from aerodynamics alittle and putting that big screen that’s just one big blah interior feature on the dashboard almost made it like it’s not a cockpit anymore
I’ve driven the new XM new x5m. I understand that you know things change over time. I don’t like having to find everything in the screen, especially when I’m driving . Feels like I’m sitting in a blah computer simulator. But change is inevitable I guess. I’m not really a big fan of just sitting in a vehicle without some type of cock pit environments ,luxury features .connivence… espeacially for the price tags of these vehicles.
Many have complained to bmw North America over the interior on the newest version.
Guess that’s why I think the f95 version that the 2023 ends with really is better. Why I was happy when they made it a 50th anniversary model before the small changes.
So I’m taking the moment to thank everyone for their gracious comments. I hope it finds a new home with someone who is gonna appreciate its essence for what it really is. All of abilities in one package. Whether that be moments of exhilaration, daily, driving it in the luxury and peace of mind and knowing that everything done to it ,is protecting it from the elements environments of roads we all drive on today.
one of the big expenses was all the protection to the vehicle and its meticulous execution on every panel.
Who ends up with it really does get a one of a kind vehicle that can do all and peace of mind.
Let’s face the facts buy new version today. Do everything I did in the detail I did it. You will spend over 160 K. And honestly, have a pretty blah interior on the new one.
I never built it with the intention to sell it. I have other vehicles, but there’s just not enough time in my life right now for all of them. So I’m doing what I feel is right and making it available to someone hopefully who appreciates it as much as me and didn’t have to spend all that extra time and money. I have no regrets.i enjoy it and have enjoyed it even if it was only few simple cruises ,dinner trips and cars coffee events. I just happened to like my other vehicles a little bit more, but those are different animals in their own aspect.Lol
I know what it’s worth I know what I put into it and I’m not being unrealistic at where I have my reserve.wish you all luck
Thanks

Thank you, sir.
@zollerm you had a good timing because I was just walking out my door
I just asked them to post the pictures. I just took two of them.
So just give them a few minutes to get that up there
Bid in the amount of $70,000
Can you show me a picture of the ventilated seat control and/or operation? Thanks.
@Yags to answer this truthfully
I don’t have time for it. It deserves better. I don’t need to sell it. I’m just one of those guys who knows it belongs with somebody who’s going to have the time for it. I have other vehicles. I’m constantly working and in the next couple years. We’re gonna be moving from the north to the south just one less thing to have to bring with me, considering I have other vehicles done as well that are gonna go.
I mean, I’m so anal over my vehicles. I sit on towels doesn’t matter how clean my clothes are that I’m wearing that goes down to my work trucks. lol
All my life I’ve built crazy or unique vehicles. My last unique bmw build before this was my M6,only had 2,400 miles on it after having for 2years.
It was very similar, a lot more Vorsteiner parts on that. That ended up getting sold just on me driving to the dealership to talk to people I haven’t spoken too in while. . I knew a gentleman seen it who lived in California. I remember the guy complementing me and by the time I got home, my buddy said the guy offered me the right amount of money without my intention to sell it. and they came and picked it up with reliable trucking.
It’s kinda like an art hobby that cost way More to do. Lol
Bid in the amount of $52,023
@JRogers why are you selling this beast?
Bid in the amount of $20,000
@jrogers thank you for the detailed answer! You did an awesome job on the x5 and the listing, appreciate it.
I also have the stock downpipe that come with the vehicle so if anybody doesn’t want the ones that are in there all they have to do is have them swapped out three hours
Just like I have the stock intakes I have the full stock exhaust and the stock springs.
All of which goes with the vehicle
At any given time, if somebody doesn’t want the flash plugged in
all they have to do is unplug it and remove it. There’s nothing more to it.
@porscheatx The only way the M Tech could put the parts in. It had to be a catted downpipe. which it is
the flashes from dinan is just that flash plugs in
it has nothing to do with code rewriting in the ECU’s
They remains stock basically with just some help
It’s a dinan full exhaust
Intakes exhaust do not void #Warranty On any vehicle
Cat less down pipes and custom tuning the ECU would. Thats why I did not go that way
Vehicle has been back plugged in During normal service
no issues
so as far as I’m told by them, I don’t have to worry about my warranty
If somebody wants to take it to the next level dinan offers their own full warranty for the ECU unlocks’s custom tune. Just remember this motors, push rods can only handle 1000 hp factory and in my honest opinion that would be pushing it
Too
How is the warranty still in place with the tune and mods?
Yes it is ventilated cooled, and heated seats
No top speed limiter which is 165 mph is still in the ECU the only way to do that is either it gets done at factory or unlock the ECU’s with a full custom tune.
The flash that is in there only runs at level six it can go to seven for maximum
I wasn’t racing the vehicles so I didn’t see the point in going to seven especially what level six does
Maybe in my younger days I might have went for it
Lol.
Ventilated seats? I don't see them in the description or on the window sticker. Thanks.
Did the flash tune remove the factory speed limiter? Thanks.
@fastmd lien with bmw financial
Thanks for posting he sticker. Do you have title in hand or is there a lien?
@fastmd yes I will have them post it.
Can you post the window sticker?
I’m making a correction on info I sent. The springs are h&r springs.
Sorry for the correction. But that was my mistake and I didn’t catch it when I sent the information.
If you’re reviewing this
bmw slogan is the ultimate driving machine.
My goal was to unlock the true potential of the X5M Competition but yet stay within emission regulations of the U.S. , perfect fuel consumption, yet drive with windows up that you barely hear the outside.
A lot planning and execution from M Techs, Dinan performance techs, prestigious shops and a lot of companies that helped make this possible & maintain factory warranty, dinan flashed to unlock but remain stock ecu’s
The result
Whether you’re looking for gorgeous daily driver or casual enthusiast vehicle that can turn heads. Yet have a phone conversation or listen to your favorite music while driving.
We achieved a result that can hold true to the bmw slogan
ultimate driving machine
