Finished in Guards Red over a Black interior, this 2014 Porsche 981 Cayman S was configured with 20” Carrera S wheels in Black, the Premium Package Plus with Power Sport Seats, the Infotainment Package with BOSE® Surround Sound System, a multifunction steering wheel, Guards Red seatbelts, and a 7-speed PDK transmission. Acquired by the seller in 2017, this two-owner example has been upgraded with a GT4-style bodykit, carbon fiber exterior components, an IPD plenum and throttle body, Fabspeed exhaust, and tuning for a reported 400+ horsepower. Showing approximately 55k miles on the odometer, this modified Cayman S is now being offered for auction out of Georgia.
This Cayman S is finished in Guards Red and has been modified with an NR Auto GT4-style front bumper, an NR Auto carbon fiber rear wing, Vorsteiner carbon fiber side skirts, an APR Performance carbon fiber rear diffuser, and APR Performance carbon fiber side air ducts. The original Cayman S badge has been refinished in black and repositioned on the rear bumper. Optional factory equipment includes bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and 20” Carrera S wheels in Black, which come dressed in Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires from 2022. The driver's side carbon fiber air duct is missing, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Black interior features the optional Premium Package with 14-way Power Sport Seats, including the Convenience Package and automatically dimming mirrors with an integrated rain sensor. Additional options include a multifunction steering wheel, Guards Red seatbelts, and the Infotainment Package with BOSE® Surround Sound System. The seller adds that a K40 radar detector with front and rear sensors has been installed, including discrete lights built into the dashboard.
Powered by a naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine, this 981 Cayman S delivers 315 HP and 266 lb-ft of torque stock to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. The seller reports total output exceeding 400 HP, achieved with tuning by Solo Motorsports in Atlanta, Georgia. Performance upgrades include an IPD plenum and throttle body, Fabspeed cat-less race headers, a Fabspeed Supercup exhaust system, drilled brake rotors, and Ferodo Racing brake pads. A recent oil change has also been completed.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, and a car cover.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my auction. I have owned this car since 2017 and have meticulously cared for it. I am a PCA member who has traveled to multiple race events in the car but only tracked it lightly a couple of times. It is an amazing car in fantastic condition that has never given me any problems. Hoping to sell to a good home!”

@rons911 They are the race headers and they do not include the cats
are the catless race headers the Fabspeed GT4 race headers? Are the cat's still in place?

@gt2 That's a good question and I'm honestly not sure as I haven't had a reason to detune back to stock. I'm sure Solo would have a better answer for you
Bid in the amount of $19,250
@rsi911 Question, wont detuning back to stock cause check engine light with the IPD Plenum? Couldn't shake that pesky light with in my old 981 w/ plenum unless I tuned
Bid in the amount of $19,000
Bid in the amount of $18,000
@Hi Unfortunatly not
@thortlehaus ...LOL, I have to help him detail the Diablo!
@FantasyJim we just spoke with ed and hes not avail.
@rsi911 Any photos of the spare wheels?
No PDK records and any driving video?
@Hi Only tracked a couple of times and trailed to and from the track both times. (I also have a set of wheels/tires for the track and an aluminum dual axle trailer if anyone is interested)
Bid in the amount of $16,500
How many times was this car tracked ? It was ever toll at the track? Also when was the last time the PDK service ? Thanks
Bid in the amount of $15,750
Love the car & mods...Not afraid of the cat-less headers & supercup exhaust! Who cares about "drone" in this type of car, you're either on the gas or at a stop light...LOL!! Would make a great addition to my 2020 GT4. If I win the bid, I'll fly down, pick up the car and visit my buddy Ed Bolian of VINwiki. Hope to see you soon!!

@ruf_kühlt Correct
Stock wing function as expected?
@r32fan I unfortunately do not
Do you have a driving video?
@Jg040773 It does drone pretty significantly with how loud the exhaust is, but you get used to it. It's also considerably lessened while wearing a helmet at the track.
Any drone noise inside at lower RPM’s?
Bid in the amount of $10,000
@bfugok It has race brake pads, but besides that no.
Has there been any modifications to the cooling, suspension, or brake components?
Bid in the amount of $5,250
@4rari I have been the owner since 2017, correct.
Looks like there are several titles reported on Carfax but you were the owner since 2017?
@4rari No rust and paint is from factory!
@Temoc It is set for 91-93, and I always use 93.
Any paintwork or rust anywhere?
Is the tune set for 91-93 octane or is some sort octane boost required?
@bldn10 I got to 140 on the back straight before I chickened out 😂 but to answer your question, I believe that Sport mode in a Sport Chrono car also adjusts suspension firmness. The mode in this car just adjusts the throttle response and where the car shifts.
@rsi911 That is 991.1 GT3 power and, assuming from where you live that you have had it at Road Atlanta, it should push you to 160 on the back straight.
Is the Sport mode in a non-Sport Chrono PDK car the same as Sport (not Sport Plus) in a Sport Chrono car? That's what I have.
@bldn10 I don’t know much about tuning myself, but I trust the shop and can vouch that the car drives phenomenally.
I don't know what to make about that dyno chart. Apparently Solo uses a Mustang, which is a good thing because it is 4-wheel and is probably more accurate for PDK cars, but generally reads lower than a Dynojet. I see that it has a Dynojet extrapolation. I have never heard of a 3.4 w/ only plenum/TB, race headers/exhaust, and tune make 419 (Dynojet) rwhp. That would be stout even for a modded GT4. If these numbers are anywhere close to accurate, this car is a monster!
Bid in the amount of $5,000
@Felizwon Yes it is, should come off very easily.
Easy question if I may. Is the stripe vinyl and easily removed?
@Tom_F2 Hi Tom! I do not have the original parts. I believe smog tests vary from state to state but in order to pass you should just need to reinstall a catalytic converter instead of the cat-less race headers that are on the car currently. In order to return the engine to stock you would just have to revert the engine tune, which any tune shop should be able to do for cheap.
What is needed to return the engine to stock and do you have the removed parts? I live in California, so I have to pass a smog test.
@burnrubr Just uploaded a picture of the Dyno sheet to the listing!
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
Nice! a dyno sheet will help support the claimed 400hp, to the wheels or crank?
@mdirads The driver side intake fell off while driving unfortunately (they’re held on by adhesive) & I never got around to replacing it. I don’t have any track footage, but it wasn’t ever pushed too hard. I believe I may have some service invoices in the glovebox, but it’s most likely just for the most recent oil change & brake pad replacement, nothing major.
What happened to driver side intake?
Any video footage from track use?
Any service records?
Any invoices from modification work?
Hi everyone, thank you for your interest. I’ll be here to answer any questions should anyone need more information on the vehicle!
