Up for auction is this 2014 Porsche 981 Cayman S finished in Lime Gold Metallic. Featuring a mid-mounted boxer engine combined with a rigid lightweight chassis, the Cayman model has become a favorite amongst avid drivers and racing enthusiasts alike.  Transformed into a high-performance track-day car, this 2014 example features over $230k worth of high-end upgrades including revised bodywork, a roll cage, Cobra racing seats, an AIM digital display, BC Forged Racing wheels, a Guard limited-slip differential, and a custom-built Stage IV 4.25L stroker engine by BGB Motorsports. Showing just over 22k miles on the odometer, this Cayman S is said to have been fully serviced after every track day event and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.

This Cayman S comes finished in the rare shade of Lime Gold Metallic and features a GT4-style front bumper, a large rear wing, and GT3 RS-inspired front fenders, carbon fiber front hood, and rear bumper.  GT4-style scoops have also been installed on the side air intakes as well as aerodynamic canards on the front bumper.  The glass has been replaced with lightweight Lexan including NACA-ducts in the rear quarter windows.  Some signs of track-going wear are present and the seller states that the car has never been raced, only used for noncompetitive track days.  Additional images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  This 981 rides on a set of 18" BC Forged wheels which are finished black and dressed in Pirelli P Zero racing tires bearing one day of track use.

Inside, the cabin has been partially stripped and fully outfitted for track use with the installation of a roll cage, a pair of Cobra racing seats, Sparco safety harnesses, a KMP detachable steering wheel, an AIM digital dash display, a driver cooling system, and carbon fiber door panels.  The seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.

Power comes from a custom 4.25L flat-six stroker engine by BGB Motorsports.  This impressive power plant was built with custom Mahle pistons, Cometic 105mm 9A1 head gaskets, upgraded main and rod bearings, an OEM replacement timing chain set, a custom pro tune, 997.2 Turbo heat exchangers, and a C&R Racing radiator set. The custom machine work and Nikasil plating was carried out by Millennium Technologies. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission with an upgraded Guard limited-slip differential and Cobb software. Upgraded brakes with two-piece floating rotors have been installed as well. The seller adds that the car has been serviced after every track day event including an oil and filter change, brake fluid flush, and general inspection.  A collection of records and invoices is provided for reference in the photo gallery detailing the incredible amount of work that has gone into this build.

This sale will include build records and a clean title.  Extracting the most out of one of Porsche’s best-performing sports cars, this custom 4.25L Cayman S is sure to satisfy any demanding driver looking to get out on the track.

    @TylerHagens Yes we know for sure it is above 500WHP, But we are still waiting on Dyno sheets to confirm the exact number.

  • Motorsport1821 (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    @TylerHagens Thank you! A lot has gone into this car to make it what it is today.

  • myanoschak (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    When was the last time the brakes were serviced? How much life left in the rotors?

  • TylerHagens (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    @bldn10 I would imagine it’s above 500 rwhp.

  • ergomax 3 years, 8 monthsago

    Bid in the amount of $65,000

  • bldn10 (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    @TylerHagens 981 GT4 engine bored and stroked w/ 991 X51 power kit
    Ought to be making at least 450 rwhp.

  • TylerHagens (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    @TylerHagens GLWS! I wish I would have saw this before I went ahead and bought a Cayman and sent it to BGB. Amazing build I know what’s involved from a cost perspective to build this.

  • TylerHagens (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    @BidAllWinNone it’s a 991.1 GT3 3.8L engine that’s bored, stroked and upgraded. Why is that not street legal. Also, each state has different emissions. I’m assuming the seller is saying that you would need a street legal exhaust with cats etc to pass emissions. That should be it from an engine perspective depending on state.

  • BidAllWinNone (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    @GauchoMD We’ve been waiting for the Dyno sheets from BGB for a few days now. Going to follow up in the morning and try to get this by tomorrow. I know everyone has been waiting on this. Our apologies. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions in the meantime.

  • Lc911sc (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    Hi there, there was a lot of info given about the engine, what can you tell us about the suspension after all this is a track car. Any mods?

  • BidAllWinNone (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    @Motorsport1821 all those things you mentioned to make it street legal sound optional to me lol. What about emissions wise?

  • BidAllWinNone 3 years, 8 monthsago

    Bid in the amount of $38,250

  • Motorsport1821 (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    Is this still classed as street legal?

  • Flsupraguy (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    Can you upload a Sebring video?

  • stor4u (registered bidder) 3 years, 8 monthsago

    Can you give me an idea of how the 22,000 miles have been spent? Is this mostly track? Was it converted at 18,000 miles? I assume it has been all track use in recent years.

  • Motorsport1821 (seller) 3 years, 8 monthsago
