Produced from 2004 through 2016, the Aston Martin DB9 Volante was conceived by designers Ian Callum and Henrik Fisker as the brand’s flagship grand tourer, offering V12 performance in a 2+2 convertible layout. This 2014 example is powered by a 5.9-liter V12 engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in Midnight Blue over a tan leather interior, it features carbon-ceramic disc brakes, an adaptive damping suspension system, a sport exhaust system with active valve control, a power-operated soft top, 20” split-spoke alloy wheels, heated and power-adjustable front seats, a retractable navigation screen, a CD stereo, and more. Showing just over 20k miles on the odometer, this DB9 Volante is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
The aluminum and composite bodywork incorporates a vented bonnet, straked fender vents, a tungsten-finished grille, an integrated rear spoiler, and signature swan-wing doors. This example is finished in Midnight Blue with a matching power-operated fabric soft top. Additional exterior details include bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, pop-out door handles, power-folding and heated side mirrors, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, clear taillight lenses, and polished dual exhaust outlets. It rides on 20” split-spoke diamond-turned alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. Front-end paint protection film is applied, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin offers a 2+2 seating layout upholstered in tan leather, complemented by contrast stitching and Piano Black trim inlays. Equipment includes 10-way power-adjustable heated front seats with memory and lumbar support, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, aluminum sport pedals, a center-mounted analog clock, and engraved aluminum door sills. The Aston Martin AMi infotainment system offers navigation, Bluetooth, a reverse camera with front and rear parking sensors, and a 700W premium audio system. The seller notes light wear on the driver’s seat back from the seatbelt and reports all gauges and electronics are in proper working order.
Power comes from a 5.9-liter AM11 DOHC V12 engine, generating a factory-rated 510 HP and 457 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Performance features include an adaptive damping suspension with double wishbones, coil springs, and anti-roll bars front and rear, along with four-wheel carbon-ceramic disc brakes and speed-sensitive hydraulic power steering. The seller states the car performs without issue and has been meticulously maintained, with service performed at Aston Martin of Palm Beach in Florida.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a battery charger, and a clean title.

@AnesMD95 hi there…. No that is not the case here…
@Ilovebirdsilovebirds 7000 or 8000 miles ago they bought new tires
I noticed more than one tire change,alignment etc. on the Carfax
Any problems???
@Hagemeierjp hey there, thanks for replying. What I meant was, can you leave the car in manual shift mode? For example I recently drove a Maserati Gran Turismo from Tampa to Fort Lauderdale, shifting with paddles all the way the whole 260 miles. The car doesn’t intervene unless you do something that would damage the gearbox. My M4 behaves the same way. In my wife’s Mercedes however, I can paddle shift but without input after a couple seconds the car forces you back into fully automatic drive. Just wondering.
@AnesMD95 hi there. It’s called the Sport Shift system and uses the paddle shifters. You can shift “manually” up and down with left and right side as long as you want. The system automatically engages the clutch and selects the appropriate gear electro-hydraulically, kind of faster actually than if you did it with a clutch and stick shift. It does take a little practicing but it’s quite fun.
Gorgeous machine. Question as I’ve never driven one, does it have a fully manual mode? Or is it one of those where you can briefly override with the paddles but then the automatic takes over quickly if you hold a gear too long? Hopefully my question was clear. Have a great Sunday, eagerly watching this one til the end!

@Hagemeierjp let me be more specific. He only spent 6 months per yr in Florida and meticulously maintained it annually.
Not at all. He only drove it from time to time. I think I calculated 8k miles over 5 yrs.
Thanks. Looks like your neighbor had the car for almost 5 years. Do you know of any issues they experienced during that time?

I took some more photos of the hood for you to review. They should be uploaded momentarily.

The paint is perfect. I will retake some good pictures. Please look out for them. Thanks
Which panels are covered in PPF? Picture 35 looks like there's a bit of swirling, can you tell if that's the PPF or the paint underneath?
So sorry, I don’t know how how I could have missed that, boy I feel dumb
@vintage89
I have added several new photos and a video of the front seats.
@vintage89 I‘m just so I understand, what would you like to see regarding the front seats?
I like the car
Any chance for close up clearings of the front seats please
@Hagemeierjp @Twistagrip23
It’s the first you tube video below the description.
@Twistagrip23 There is one already in the listing
@Avant911 I bought this car for my wife‘s birthday in early May, as a surprise gift, from a departing (leaving the country) neighbor. It didn’t work out as it’s just too much car for her and in the end not practical.

Can we see a video of the top going up and down?
@Avant911 I bought it for my wife as a surprise from a departing (leaving the country) neighbor. It didn’t go as well as I hoped. It’s just too much car for her and in the end not practical.
Looks like a nice car. I’m curious why you are selling it after just purchasing it.
