Finished in Black over a matching interior, this 2012 Porsche 997.2 Carrera S Cabriolet is equipped with an optional 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission paired with its 3.8-liter flat-six engine. Sold new in California at an original sticker price of over $115k, it also features optional 19” 911 Turbo II wheels, Sport Chrono Package Plus, heated 12-way Comfort Seats, self-dimming mirrors, and the Infotainment Package with BOSE Surround Sound System. This Carrera S remained registered in California, where it was serviced by McKenna Audi Porsche until 2021 and was subsequently maintained by authorized Porsche dealers in Indiana, Texas, and Florida, before the seller’s recent acquisition. Showing approximately 54k miles on the odometer, this 997.2 is now being offered for auction out of Massachusetts.
The exterior is finished in Black with a matching power-operated convertible top. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, LED taillights and daytime running lights, fog lights, headlamp washers, clear side marker lenses, optional self-dimming mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, quad exhaust tips, red Porsche-branded brake calipers, and optional 19” 911 Turbo II wheels, which have been refinished in black. The CARFAX report indicates minor front-end damage in 2020, and the seller states the front bumper cover has been replaced. The exterior is described as being in very good overall condition with minor signs of road-going wear on the front hood and bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The Black interior features optional heated 12-way power Comfort Seats with driver memory and lumbar support, a three-spoke multifunction leather steering wheel with paddle shifters, and a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch. Other accessories include automatic climate control, cruise control, a remote central locking system, an onboard computer, BOSE Surround Sound System, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM), with extended navigation.
Featuring dry sump lubrication, direct fuel injection, and VarioCam Plus variable valve timing, the naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine was factory-rated at 385 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Performance features include fixed 4-piston brake calipers with cross-drilled 330mm discs, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, which enables launch control as well as Sport and Sport Plus drive modes for the engine, transmission, and suspension. A service was completed by The Collection of Coral Gables, Florida, in April 2025, including new spark plugs, a brake fluid flush, and an oil and filter change.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “The 997.2 is the last of the naturally aspirated, hydraulic steering 911s from Porsche. This is a true driver's car, and, with the top down, you will hear as much as you feel from the road. This particular 911 has a decent list of options, including comfort seats, heated seats, and sport chrono plus. The car is in excellent shape and has seen regular maintenance throughout its life. It's quite common for cars of this age to have at least one minor on the Carfax, and in this case, it amounted to just a bumper respray. This 911 S has many more smiles to provide and is ready for a new owner to care for it!”

@Krisarn And hope you enjoy that RS60 for a long time!
@Krisarn Thanks for chiming in! Always nice to see the care and attention that enthusiasts put into these cars. I did notice that the exhaust sounded nice, so it makes sense that you added the Fister setup.
@Ram3k no sorry, I did not receive that info. But did not seem to impact drive ability at all.
@krisarn - thx for providing info.
Do you happen to have info or dox concerning the damage listed on the Carfax ?
Thx
Another bit of information about this car. I remembered doing research to see how many were made. Porsche won’t tell the you exact numbers, I tried😟. Remember, 2012 was the last of 997s (great model for the enthusiasts) and this was also towards the end of the recession, when Porsche was struggling and had reduced their output considerably. I believe this vehicle was made in SEPT of 2011, and from my research I think they only made 997s, 2012 MYs, from SEPT to DEC, and then switched over to making the 991s. And from my research probably about 200 give or take a dozen or so were made. The low numbers are probably not as significant for the Cabs, but still nice to know that its numbers are lower than a lot of their Limited Edition models, of which I’ve had two. Like other vehicles that I’ve had, I will probably regret selling it. I will not be selling my RS60, and if I desire another P car, will have to get a lift😊.

@Krisarn Just looked at the video and remembered that I also replaced the silver Porsche S emblem with a glossy black emblem to better match the all black theme.
I was the last owner of this car. Great car; I don’t see the work I had performed during my ownership by an Indy shop listed in the carfax, which included oil change, brake fluid flush, engine mounts, and Fister exhaust. It already had the Sharkwerks crossover pipes. No issues with car, drives great—sold it to get a manual, and actually ended up buying a Boxster RS 60. I’ve had several 911s and several Boxsters—love them both!

Welcome to this auction for this beautiful 997.2 S Cab. This car is in excellent shape inside and out. It just went through a rigorous CPO process earlier this year and, as such, it has received a full major service in preparation for the sale and currently needs nothing. Details of the service are available on Carfax. Tires are dated post-23 and are in like-new condition.
We've seen many 997 cabs come through our doors. This one shows very minimal wear for the mileage and age. The interior trim is in great shape without scratches and dings, the leather is mostly unscathed and especially the seat bolsters are in excellent condition. The door sills are not scratched up, and neither are the door cards. Outside, the paint is in great shape spare for some minimal swirls that are again common for the age. The doors used to have edge guards at some point that have come off, so the leftover glue has left a mark. Nothing that some goo gone or a paint correction cannot fix.
Mechanically, the car runs and drives exactly as it should. The 3.8L NA motor sounds really good and the PDK shifts are quick & crisp. The convertible top assembly functions exactly as required with no squeaks or rattles.
Please bid confidently on this recently serviced example! I am here to answer any questions about PPIs, trades, shipping, or anything else. Thanks
When was the last service on this car? How old are the tires?
