Equipped with a direct fuel-injected 3.8-liter flat-six engine and a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission, this 2012 Porsche 997.2 Carrera S Coupe is finished in Carrara White over Black upholstery. It was further optioned with heated 12-way power Comfort Seats, the Comfort Package, the Infotainment Package, and more. Originally delivered in California, this Carrera S has spent much of its time stateside with the exception of one year. This well-presented example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York with approximately 75k miles showing on the odometer.
This 997.2 was ordered in Carrara White and can be distinguished as an “S” model from a standard Carrera by its red-painted brake calipers and quad exhaust outlets. Equipment also includes bi-xenon headlights, headlamp washers, an electric sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and 19” Carrera Sport wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2024. A few minor stone chips have been touched up, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, this Carrera S features Black standard leather upholstery with a matching Alcantara headliner and optional 12-way power Comfort Seats. The optional Infotainment Package equips a BOSE Surround Sound System and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with extended navigation while the Comfort Package adds driver seat memory, heated front seats, and auto-dimming exterior mirrors. Front seat ventilation was additionally opted for, and a Mr12Volt Apple CarPlay module has been installed.
Updated with direct fuel injection for the 2009 model year, this Carrera S is equipped with a 3.8-liter flat-six engine producing up to 385 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Standard features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Stability Management (PSM), Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), and 13” cross-drilled brake rotors with fixed 4-piston calipers at each corner. The seller states that service approximately 1k miles ago included a full PDK service, new brake rotors and pads, and new motor mounts.
This sale will include a clean title.

@sclinch1 I really love the car but I bought a new Carrera Cab. The 997.2 is a better car but....
Very nice looking 997.2 S with a clean history and nice that the PDK service has been completed and motor mounts replaced as these eventually start to wear out. I have a 2010 PDK with a bit less miles and Meteor Grey with black wheels and interior that I really enjoy. I swapped in some 991 LWCB seats and it is a dream to drive on track with the PDK, but equally pleasant to drive around town. I miss the manual sometimes, but the PDK is really fun in its own right. GLWTA - this seems like a very nice example. Looking forward to the bids jumping soon!
@stevepaa the carfax shows owners and location I believe
pcarmarket typo
This should be correctted.
Originally delivered in California, this Carrera S has spent much of its time stateside with the exception of one year.
@stevepaa It has always been in the US. It was delivered new in California, I bought it in California and it has spent the past year and change in NY
I also have a set of screens to protect the radiators, they are black mesh. They are still in the box and will be included with the car
where was the car for the one year outside of the states?
the car is inside my garage in Lido Beach
is the car at CCS?
any questions, I am available
Bid in the amount of $34,997
Bid in the amount of $32,911
@stevepaa The car has been in my heated and air conditioned garage in LIdo Beach NY
@stevepaa In the last 1000 miles I had the following done:
Full PDK service-including pan,filter and all fluids as per Porsche specifications, new rotors and pads and fresh motor mounts. The tires have approximately 200 miles on them and of course a fresh oil change. The only thing you would need would be gasoline and bail money !
any service needed before driving across country
where was it for the one year?
@notanothermiata ?
It was raining, as the darker area is pitched down that collected more of the water. They brought the car inside, wiped it down and took the photographs.
Any comment you could add to the “dark” or perceived wetness of picture 138?
@warhorse Back seat is (sole) picture 85.
@SkyBlueSky i’ve never had to do that anywhere. All I did was go to the DMV office with the bill of sale and the title and I walked out with my plates and registration and title.
@MarkD57 When I moved to Florida last year and needed a new title, I had to physically bring my car to the title office so that the title person could go to the parking lot and do a VIN inspection. I also had to have proof of Florida vehicle insurance. Were you able to get an exception to this requirement?
@MarkD57 I wish this beauty was actually in FL, I’d be making arrangements to come by for a closer look! GLWTA
Picture back of passenger seat? Do you have or intend to replace amber
side marker lenses with clear?
Hello @MarkD57,
Beautiful C2S and the Sport wheels are great. Don't see them too often.
Do you know what the wetness on the underside is from? See pics 133, 135 and 138. Thanks.
@notanothermiata all I had to do was take the title that I received from California and when I went to the Department of Motor Vehicles in Florida, I feel that the application and transfer the title to me in Florida and I got a registration and the title. It’s very easy to do.
Bid in the amount of $29,997
Thank you for the information.
Can you help us understand how you were able to register it in FL if you shipped it to your home in NY?
@AGates thanks.
@MarkD57 Lol - a good reason, congrats
@AGates took delivery of a 2025 Carrera cab , I have too many cars and a few have to go
@AGates I saw that as well, I’m also curious.
@notanothermiata Your information is correct, I moved to FL last year from GA and I had to physically take my car to the title office in order to title it in Florida. I’m not sure who “they” are either, as whoever gets the title has to present the car in person to the title office.
@notanothermiata they was a typo. I purchased the car in Southern California. I had it shipped back to New York in an enclosed trailer and I had it registered in Florida as I thought I was going to bring it to my home there. I ended up purchasing another car for Florida and kept the Carrera here in New York.
So you bought it from BaT a little over a yr ago? why are you selling if I may ask?
Who is 'they'? Someone else registered your car for you and made a mistake?
I have family in FL, so I asked them about out-of-state reg. I was told, then read online to confirm, that you have to visit the County Tax Collector or Service Center with the completed documents and the vehicle (for VIN verification) to the local county tax collector or designated service center.
Did you ship it to NY then drive it to/back from FL? I just want to connect the dots since the Carfax doesn't show you a 3rd owner, you're selling it out of NY, and you have FL plates.
@notanothermiata when I purchased the car in California I shipped it to my home in New York, but they registered in Florida. As I thought I was going to bring it down to my home there. I never did. It’s been in New York since I owned it. It has a clean Florida title.
Can you help me understand the Carfax ownership timeline?
Owner 1: Bought new and sold Jan 2021 with 61,000 miles
Owner 2: Bought Jan 2021 in CA and sold to you in Feb 2024 with 67,000 miles
Carfax does not show owner 3 - YOU - but shows you registered it in FL and now selling it out of NY with 76k miles...
Does the car now have NY plates as well?
@AGates Thanks. It is a really great car.
Bid in the amount of $20,000
Nice car, good luck with the auction
