Making its debut as the fastest and most powerful road-going Porsche ever built, the 997.2 GT2 RS marked the absolute pinnacle of the 911 model range, featuring a 612-horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine driving the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle. Limited to 500 examples, the GT2 RS showcases an exposed carbon fiber hood, front wheel arch flares, 19” center-locking wheels, carbon fiber bucket seats, lightweight door panels, carbon fiber trim, red and black Alcantara upholstery, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), a limited-slip differential, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). This GT2 RS is reportedly one of 130 cars produced for the U.S., and only 43 examples finished in GT Silver Metallic worldwide. It comes factory-equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package, Sound Package Plus, a thicker two-tone Alcantara steering wheel, a red Porsche-logo storage bin lid, Porsche-crested headrests, and a rear center console in carbon fiber. Showing approximately 2k miles on the odometer, this 2011 GT2 RS is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
Sharing its wide bodywork and side air intakes with the contemporary 911 Turbo, the GT2 features model-specific fascias and a fixed rear wing with integrated air scoops. The RS version is distinguished by front wheel arch flares, aluminum door skins, a larger front spoiler, a rear diffuser, a front badge decal, and a satin carbon fiber finish on the hood, mirror caps, side air intakes, exhaust surrounds, front grilles, and rear spoiler lip. This example is finished in GT Silver Metallic with silver 19” center-lock alloy wheels complemented by yellow ceramic brake calipers. Equipment includes xenon headlights, painted headlamp washers, LED taillights and daytime running lights, model designation decals on the doors, and titanium exhaust outlets. The seller indicates that the car is in outstanding overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the carbon fiber full bucket seats feature contrasting red Alcantara inserts matching the armrests, steering wheel, shifter, brake handle, and headliner. Accessories include Guards Red seatbelts and door pull straps, optional Porsche-crested headrests, a red Alcantara Porsche-logo storage compartment lid, a carbon fiber rear center console, carbon fiber trim pieces, a thicker two-stone Alcantara steering wheel, carbon fiber RS-logo door sill guards, and a serialized limitation plaque on the glovebox. The car also features reduced noise insulation materials, lightweight carpets, full climate control, cruise control, a remote central locking system, a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch, optional Sound Package Plus, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM).
The GT2 RS features a 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine with forged pistons and connecting rods, VarioCam Plus variable valve timing, Dynamic Engine Mounts, and twin Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers. It delivers up to 620 HP and 516 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle with a single-mass flywheel and a limited-slip differential. Performance features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), and the optional Sport Chrono Package. The CARFAX report shows a maintenance inspection and oil service completed in April 2023 at 2,229 miles.
This sale will include the original window sticker, a toolkit, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This is as-new, all-stock, no flaws 2011 GT2 RS only 130 of these were brought to the states, only 43 made in GT SILVER, this car equipped with carbon bucket seats - only 500 worldwide, these cars are becoming inexistent and will forever appreciate!”

@mildcollectionllc This is the only perfect 2RS on the market today ! US example
@PALY93 there’s only 33 made with CF and buckets , we own one , it’s way more money , it was always more even back in 2018 - these cars are insanely undervalued there’s 2011 Gt3RS 3.8 cars that are selling for 750k that are silver
I imagine this is as fun as a sports guy watching the Super Bowl.

Fantastic example offered here… watching closely
You can always tell CF fenders or not by the fender flares. The CF examples are smooth like a RS 4.0 while the standard fenders have the extension flare like a RS 3.8
Bid in the amount of $637,000
UNREAL!!!
@Porscheman81 no CF on this one
Correct no cff
@mildcollectionllc 100% agreed. With 4L $1.25mm and up, these are still very undervalued imho owner of both. Especially when you drive them back to back and realize 98% of the time the GT2RS is substantially better driver, effortlessly...
(all 997.2s appear to be well built!)
At least to me, higher end 997.2s feel like they’re well built and smaller than later generations, and handle wonderfully with their non-electric steering. Absolutely lovely car here. I have a 2010 GT3 which delights both eye and hand. Will never sell it. GLWA!

I own car number 421, the speed on these cars is mind bending. It's one of the cars i own i can honestly say i will never sell.
@userabc123 very well said !
The 997 GT2RS is the real GOAT 911. The 3RS 4.0 at 500 HP is nice. Its like the cute little sister, but the twin turbo 600+ HP in this car is mind blowing. This blows away a 4.0 and 100 less produced. More rare, 100+ more HP. It is peak mezger 911. There is no comparison
@Snolvr we couldn’t agree anymore , the values on these should be the same or more , yes it’s a turbo but i IT IS THE MOST POWERFUL MANUAL TRANS CAR PORSCHE EVER PRODUCED - YES EVER. And more rare than 4.0 , and better looking !!! Another few years these will be really impossible to get your hands on that’s when they will be well into the millions
This is the holy grail. Peak Porsche, peak model. Even better than the $1m 4.0 RS that just sold, IMHO!
Dear Santa...
@MTM550 the dme report has been added to the gallery
@MTM550 no PPF , just half the front end is covered in PPF - dme report will be posted tommorow ! The car is a 10/10 ! No other way to describe it !
Thank You for posting paint meter readings - No PPF on car, correct?
Any luck w DME / over rev report?
@pcarracer500 very common with these limited production cars , we own same car in black , it has 5 owners and 940 miles
Beautiful car. Hard to understand the 4 owners who limited their driving to 2k miles over 14 years.
@MTM550 we will get those things posted
Beautiful 2RS - Do you have paint meter readings and DME/over rev report available?
