Launched for the 2009 model year, the updated 997.2-generation Porsche 911 featured revised styling, a revamped infotainment system, and a new range of more powerful flat-six engines with direct fuel injection technology. This 2009 Porsche 997.2 Carrera 4S Cabriolet is finished in Black over a matching leather interior and is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.8-liter flat-six. At an original sticker price of over $115k, it was also optioned with heated and ventilated front seats, a painted center console, LED door pocket lighting, the Bose High-End Sound Package, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Dynamic Corning Lights, self-dimming mirrors, and 19” Carrera Sport wheels. The car was modified with an Fi exhaust system before the seller’s acquisition in 2025 and has since been treated with an oil service and new tires. Showing approximately 92k miles on the odometer, this C4S Cabriolet is now being offered for auction out of Ohio with approximately 92k miles showing on the odometer.
The all-wheel drive 4S model is distinguished from a standard Carrera by its wider fenders and a unique reflector band that connects the LED taillights. This example is finished in Black with a matching power-operated convertible top. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlights with optional Dynamic Cornering, headlamp washers, LED daytime running lights, self-dimming mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, red Porsche-branded brake calipers, and optional 19” Carrera Sport wheels. The seller indicates four new tires were recently mounted and balanced, along with a four-wheel alignment. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing minor rear impact damage in 2011.
The Black standard leather interior features optional heated and ventilated front seats, a Black-painted center console, a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch, LED door pocket lighting, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. Other accessories include a three-spoke leather steering wheel, a driver information display, automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation.
Rated at 385 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque, the 3.8-liter flat-six engine features integrated dry sump lubrication, VarioCam Plus variable valve timing, and direct fuel injection. All four wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transaxle. Standard performance features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Stability Management (PSM), and 13” cross-drilled rotors paired with fixed 4-piston brake calipers. This car is also equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus and an aftermarket Fi exhaust system. The seller indicates that an oil and filter change was recently performed.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a cabin wind deflector, a toolkit, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Very rare 997.2 Carrera 4S with the 9A1 engine that doesn’t have an IMS. 6-speed manual! Very low production number car.”

@Lexplaya11385 @Tybalt1000 this is not a consignment vehicle. I have personally driven it for the past few months and put on about 1,000 miles. Under our ownership, the vehicle got 4 brand new Bridgestone Potenza Sport Tires and an Engine Oil/Filter Service.
PCarMarket is uploading the Driving Video now (also attached a link on the bottom). It drives so good and sounds even better! The Fi Sport exhaust is authoritative with no drone...one of the best in the business.

@Tybalt1000 I believe this may be more of a consignment situation.
@Bad_Chadi out of curiosity, did you purchase this only to sell it? You are listed as a dealership, what dealership is it? The vehicle was acquired recently and obviously not driven at all, just curious.
@Bad_Chadi thank you so much! Excited to watch and bid
@shamansky the previous owner put on the original Porsche wheels.
@Tybalt1000 PCarMarket Moderators are uploading a convertible top video and cold start engine video right now. I am working on a driving video as well. Thanks

Hello and welcome to the auction on this 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet 6-Speed! This 997.2 has the 9A1 3.8 Liter Flat-Six that does not utilize the IMS that plagued the earlier M96/M97. The 9A1 has a Closed Deck Engine Design with 50% fewer moving parts making it much more durable. These were made during the Great Recession, so the last and best 997s were also produced in the fewest numbers.
This one is also well equipped with a MSRP of over $115,000!
In preparation for the sale, my Porsche Tech replaced all 4 tires with brand new Bridgestone Potenza Sport, and performed an Engine Oil/Filter service.
