The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my auction. I’m the original owner of this 2008 Volkswagen R32, which I purchased brand new from a VW dealership in Irving, Texas. I still remember the experience clearly—it was made even better thanks to an outstanding salesman named Oscar, who shared my enthusiasm for the brand.
This is not your average R32. This is ‘Billet Everything’—a hand-built, show-stopping VW R32 crafted by a true enthusiast (me), with years of passion poured into every detail. This car has rarely seen rain or snow, always garage-kept, and meticulously maintained. Over the years, I’ve done all the work myself, making this one of the most carefully put-together MKV R32s out there. It’s not just a build—it’s a labor of love. ‘Billet Everything’ earned Best Looking MKV R32 at Wookies in the Woods, a testament to the attention, craftsmanship, and clean aesthetic this car brings to the scene. From the engine bay to the smallest trim details, this R32 turns heads and earns respect wherever it goes. I’m looking to pass it on to someone who truly appreciates what this car represents—an award-winning, enthusiast-built R32 that deserves to be loved and preserved. If I have any questions about the build or the car in general, please don’t hesitate to ask. Enjoy the auction, and let’s set a new record for this amazing 1 of 1 vehicle!”

@sgtidiamindada most people hated the car because when the 08 was launched it had a bad Metronic once you had that fixed under warranty since enough people complained about it. Also with a United Motorsports DSG tune, which came out a few years later fix a lot of the problems I’ve had mine this whole time. Only thing I’ve done is the warranty on the DSG Metronic replacement and the tune I’ve had zero issues no knocking coming out of Park no sluggish takeoffs after stopping nothing but good strong hits off the turbo.
I had a 2008 R32 too that I bought as soon as they were made available to order. The car was perfect in every way-except i HATED the automatic transmission at the time and eventually traded it away for a GT500. The funny thing is that now I kick myself- the car the R32 replaced was a 24v vr6 gti with a huge twin turbo set-up. Fun- but almost undriveable with its 800hp. If I only could have had the r32 with the gti's tranny and turbo set-up. Might have to buy this thing as it is EXACTLY how I'd want an R32 (with the exception of not having a third pedal)
If anyone is interest in the prices I spent on this car I can post them up tomorrow also with engine build pictures.

@rjpat I have a 2015 cc 3.6 AWD as well and I love it. Love the vr6 motors. I been in the VW community since 04 so I know a few people online and over here in Dallas that know this car well. It been a project for years to complete and now I’m in my 40s I do t go out as much and I have too many VWs. I do t have time for very expensive projects anymore. Bolts ons yes but not full custom builds that drank my bank account
@Stylist Assume I am from Missouri. I have owned a few VW, still own a VW Passat 3.6 4Motion Wagon, but it is unmodified. I will continue to watch your auction.
@rjpat the car runs and drives what else do u need to see? Are u an interested buyer or just trying to give advice?
@Stylist The general approach taken on this website seems to be 'trust but verify'. The modifications seem like a lot of effort and expense for such limited use. You can up load anything you care to, the better you document the car the better the outcome should be. There are likely other websites that better support VW but there are still 5 days to your listing.
@rjpat I have around 1,500 miles on this build. It took me about 10 years to complete, and it’s been well worth it. This is a fantastic car to drive—whether you’re cruising or going fast. It could easily be a daily driver or a garage queen. Personally, I’ve kept it in the garage 99% of the time and only drive it in nice, sunny weather. I’ve owned this car since new—got it when I was just a kid. It was my daily driver up until 2012, when I decided to go big turbo and take the build to the next level. Since then, it’s been a long-term garage project, carefully built piece by piece with performance and reliability in mind.
Now it’s no longer a daily, but a weekend warrior. I take it out for local shows, track days, or just a spirited drive around town. It’s been a journey, and every bolt and mod has a story.
I take exceptional care of the car and perform all the maintenance myself. I have a large tote filled with maintenance records and receipts from over the years—everything from parts I’ve ordered online to purchases from VW. I’d be happy to show pictures of that if it’s possible to include them in the listing.
I also have a tote full of OEM parts that came off the car, which will be included with the sale if the buyer wants them. Tons of extra pieces and components from the build come with it. I change the oil religiously every 3,000 miles or once a year—whichever comes first. I even buy oil by the drum since I own several VWs.
@Stylist How much time, mileage on the modifications? Service records and equipment receipts would be appreciated.
@rjpat yes the HP and boost is limited by the OEM DQ250 trans with stock clutches. The car drive great with 15-20psi of boost and this trans can hold up to 500-650whp with out breaking but I would not recommend doing any full Launch Control pulls off the dig at that psi. 10-15psi LC pulls will be fine but 20-30psi u are putting allot of power to stock components at the power level. The United Motorsports stage 3 tune will hold up to 650hp and the Haldex is also in race mode with it aftermarket Oem race controller. I always drive the car and punch it at a roll never at a dig with high boost. If the trans is upgraded to a DQ 381 or DQ500 this u can turn up the boost as high as u want. The motor is built to 1000whp and the ecu tune is 850whp on E85. Hope this make since
An interesting custom R32. The engine ratings you advised are likely limited by the clutch, transmission and transaxle. Please advise the power ratings for the drive train? How long ago, time and mileage, where the modifications made? How have you used the R32 since then? Thank you and regards.
Bid in the amount of $2,008
@zollerm the tune is rated to 850whp but I keep the boost controller to about 500-600hp by turning the psi down to 15-20psi it can be turn up to 30-35psi. E85 fuel is best for the tune
Horsepower?
