Combining the agile E86 Z4 Coupe platform with the venerable 3.2-liter S54 inline-six engine from the E46 M3, the Z4 M Coupe is an increasingly sought-after modern classic. This 2007 example is one of 1,815 produced for North America between 2006 and 2008, and among only 212 that were finished in Titanium Silver Metallic. It features a Black Nappa leather interior, heated power-adjustable M sport seats, an M sport steering wheel, xenon headlights, a limited-slip differential, M sport suspension, dual M exhaust tips, and 18” Style 224M alloy wheels. This Z4 was previously cared for by two owners in Oregon and Washington before the seller acquired it in 2021, and was later relocated to New Jersey in the fall of 2023. Showing approximately 46k miles on the odometer, this rare Z4 M Coupe is now being offered for auction out of New Jersey.

The M Coupe is distinguishable from a standard Z4 by its more aggressive front bumper, hood, and rear diffuser, M fender and trunk badges, and dual twin-tipped M-branded exhaust pipes. This example is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic (212) and features auto-levelling xenon headlights, headlamp washers, heated power mirrors, and silver 18” Style 224M alloy wheels with new Continental Extreme Contact Sport mounted in 2024. The seller indicates that the front bumper and passenger-side fender were previously refinished to address cosmetic imperfections, and rock chips are present on the passenger-side mirror housing and front bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin features Black Nappa leather upholstery accented by brushed aluminum trim pieces. Accessories include optional heated and power-adjustable M sport seats, a three-spoke M sport multifunction steering wheel, M-branded door sills, an M sport shift knob, M-branded instrumentation, automatic climate control, cruise control, a navigation system, and a hi-fi sound system. Some minor signs of wear are noted on the armrest and behind the driver’s door handle.

Featuring Double-VANOS variable valve timing and six individual throttle bodies, the 3.2-liter S54 inline-six engine produces up to 330 HP and 262 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The Z4 M Coupe features a quick-ratio hydraulic steering rack and shares its cross-drilled floating brake rotors with the M3 CSL, its brake calipers with the M3 Competition, its rear subframe with the M3, and its forged aluminum lower control arms with the E46 Performance Package (ZHP). The seller notes that all service records will be provided from the prior and current ownership, including an invoice for a rebuilt DSC module. The CARFAX report indicates that a service was completed in May 2024, which included a brake fluid flush, new brake pads and rotors, a wheel alignment, and an oil and filter change.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a tire inflator, an original BMW keychain, service records, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for your interest in this auction. I have owned this car since the Fall of 2021, when I lived in California. A dealership bought this car on my behalf. Since I spent most of my time in NYC in 2022 and 2023, I kept it in my friend's home Garage in SoCal for the two years and drove it when I got back to California. My friend also drove it once a month to make sure it was always in a proper working condition. Then I transported the car to NJ in 2023 and gave it a complete and thorough service in 2024, where it had rotors, pads, tires, brake fluid, engine oil, and etc. changed. Everything on this car is completely stock, no modifications at all. And I just had its DSC module rebuilt this summer, as the DSC module on Z4M is prone to malfunction.”

Hi there. I may have missed it in the comments or description, but has the car been smoked in/any smoke/vape smell at all? Thanks

  • Luca_Z (seller) 2 days, 14 hoursago

@Carguy312 The car comes with CA title. And the registration status is expired. But everything works just fine. Just had a major maintenance.

  • Luca_Z (seller) 2 days, 14 hoursago

@Patk12rs The drivers side door card has some wear, but it not ripped. If you look at the pic 36 and enlarge it, you can see some white dots around the inside door handle. There are also some wear in similar look on the drivers door arm rest. I believe they are caused by one of the previous owner's ring or other jewelry on his/her left hand

With all due respect, I can't imagine anyone thinking the car isn't filthy in pictures and am surprised by your "But if you think this car is filthy, PLEASE DO NOT BID" comment. It's objectively dirtier in the pictures than 99% of the cars that you see listed for sale on this site and I think the point is just that it's hard to know what can be cleaned versus what is imperfect and would need to be addressed to get the car to a more perfect state.

  • Carguy312 (registered bidder) 2 days, 17 hoursago

Hello, does the car come with NJ or CA title? Also not clear on the registration status. Does the car have a current registration or is it expired? Does everything work as it should, thanks.

Hello, is the left door card ripped around the door handle ? It's hard to tell from the pictures. Thank you

  • Luca_Z (seller) 3 days, 14 hoursago

@steffen The fuel door is closed properly and will only lock when the car is driving or drivers' and passengers' doors are locked

  • steffen (registered bidder) 3 days, 14 hoursago

@Luca_Z...Not trying to offend, but a the very least the car should have been washed and vacuumed before taking images . Is the car currently registered? The fuel door does not look closed properly, more images please...

  • Luca_Z (seller) 3 days, 14 hoursago

@steffen The car last time registered in 2022 not 2002. This is my weekend car, I only use it for pleasure drive in my local state park roads. Yes, it not been drove a lot, but couple times of 150+ miles drive a month is more than enough to keep it in a healthy condition.
I kept my California plate on it because I love how it looks, I don't like the yellowish NJ plate. I always believe California is a better place to keep the car than New Jersey, so I want to tribute its days in California. That's the whole reason I didn't register it. To my knowledge, lot of people I know think seeing a CA plate Z4M in NJ is special. None of them think it's embarrassing. If you have any other question, I'll try to answer. But if you think this car is filthy, PLEASE DO NOT BID

  • Luca_Z (seller) 3 days, 15 hoursago

@steffen photo of the cupholder extended, the passengers side have some scuffs. The drivers side is newer, I replaced it in 2023, as the old one is not locking the cup in place

  • Luca_Z (seller) 3 days, 15 hoursago

@steffen Hi @steffen You are right about the pic74, there is one jack pad missing. Pic47 & 49 are intended to focus on the floor mat, you can check pic 29, 31, 52, 53 for clearer view of the passenger seat. There is normal wear on the drivers seat, but the passenger seat is not wonky and fairly new. I don't know what is the color marks on the passenger side cupholder, but they are not coffee, and can be easily clean up with just a cloth (already removed). Probably they are color from a passenger's pants or bag, because the whole cabin is very tight. Same as the marks under the dash, they are dirt and dust under my shoes. Photo are taken at a big parking lot in front of Pier115 Edgewater NJ

Hoping to see a cold start and driving video...

  • steffen (registered bidder) 5 days, 13 hoursago

Image # 74 shows a missing right rear jack pad. Image 38 show dirty scuff marks on cup holder area, could we get an image of the cup holders open please. Image 45 dirt and scuff marks under dash. Image 47 & 49 passenger seat surround looks wonky, new image of that area please...

  • steffen (registered bidder) 5 days, 13 hoursago

CARFAX says last registration on 10-31-2002. Last service 5-13-2024.

  • steffen (registered bidder) 5 days, 13 hoursago

Again, when where the images taken? Plates show expiration date of November of 2023? Has the car been reregistered? when was it last driven.

  • steffen (registered bidder) 1 weekago

Carfax tells us that the car has been in NJ since 10-16-2023, possibly earlier. Why then CA plates.
when and where were the images taken? Having taken a closer look at images, the car is filthy. I would be embarrassed if my car looked like that! I stand by my test bid, but have new concerns. Not seeing the love...

    Hi,

Welcome to my listing, I’m the owner of this Z4M Coupe. If you have any questions please feel free to leave in the comments section. I’ll try my best to answer all.

Something I forgot to mention in the description. This car doesn’t have its rod bearing issue solved. But this is the last year of S54 engine(2007), and I sent its oil sample to the blackstone laboratory every time after oil change. The result never show any excessive metal particles, which means it in a decent health condition. The previous owner mentioned he had the vanos upgraded with the Beisan kit, but the record of this service is lost.
