Replacing the F355 as Ferrari’s flagship mid-engine roadster, the 360 Spider debuted with a lighter, stronger aluminum space-frame chassis produced by Alcoa, smoothened body lines, a user-friendly power convertible top, electronically controlled dampers, and a 3.6-liter flat-plane crank V8 that produced nearly 400 HP. This 2004 Spider comes finished in Giallo Modena over black leather upholstery and equips an F1 6-speed automated manual gearbox, upgraded exhaust headers, and a radar detector system. Showing approximately 19k miles on the odometer, this example is now being offered for auction out of California.

This 360's Pininfarina-design bodywork comes finished in Giallo Modena with a black power-operated convertible soft top. Exterior features include bi-xenon headlights, a transparent engine cover, quad-exhaust outlets, a body-color rear grille, Scuderia fender shields, and yellow Ferrari-branded brake calipers. Additionally, the car rides on two-piece 18" modular 5-spoke BBS wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, the driver is situated in a black leather interior decorated with yellow accents and matching Ferrari-branded carpeted floor mats. Amenities include automatic climate control, power locks, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Additionally, an aftermarket stereo and radar detector have been fitted. The seller notes that the interior is all original however the leather cover on the passenger airbag has separated.

Power comes from a mid-mounted 3.6-liter V8 producing up to 395 HP and 275 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a Ferrari F1 6-speed sequential manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. Recent service is said to have included the replacement of the convertible top’s hydraulic cylinders and elastic piece, along with an oil change and brake fluid flush in preparation for the sale.

This sale will include a clean title, one key, owner’s manuals, sales literature, and a toolkit.

I've been helping the seller with this listing, and the car has been stored in my garage for the past year. I've driven it about every two months for mechanical health, and it's been a very fun car. It gets lots of attention, with frequent waves and thumbs-up. I'd buy it myself, but my interests are higher-value blue-chip cars. I like driving it with the F1 transmission always in manual mode, and it never sits at a stop for more than a few seconds without shifting to neutral to wait out a stoplight. The PPF spot in the bumper wasn't even something I noticed until the photo session.

Note to bidders: Thanks for your bids. You are two thirds of the way to my reserve and I really want to sell this car.
Because I currently have three Ferrari's, another yellow 360 Modena with a recently added manual shifter, and my favorite, a blue F430 Spider. I think the 360 Spyder is the best looking with the black interior. This car has the original Ferrari muffler, and I also have a new Tubi style muffler that can be added to the sale if the buyer prefers a bit louder sound. So thanks to the bidders. Let's get this can on the road to a new owner.

@palmerd27 when was the last timing belt service?

  • palmerd27 (seller) 5 months, 4 weeksago

Oil & filter change included brake system fluid flush. I expect to post a driving video this afternoon.

Worth noting that although the vehicle is licensed and titled in Alaska, it has not been to the state. It has been a vacation car in Oregon and California, garage-kept.

Note that the photo next to the gas cap photo shows damage to the paint protection film that covers the front bumper. The PPF damage as shown is 2 and 1/8" long from top to bottom, with almost no damage to the paint underneath (two tiny chip areas).

No overspray noted, and no sticky buttons, so those must have been corrected before my purchase,

  • Tommyfenders (registered bidder) 6 monthsago

Very nice. Any overspray or repainted parts? Any sticky buttons?
